good question! alot of people dont beleive it's really happeing, mostly because they dont want to know the facts and try to conserve energy.
Some of the effects of global warming would be the melting of polar ice caps. When the ice caps melt (like antartica, greenland ect.) the displaced water will cover ALOT of land on the earth. New York will be nearly covered by water as will alot of places that border the ocean. They population is constantly going up, so there will not be enough room for all of the humans on earth to live.
The temperature will go up very very high (it's already starting...)
hmmm, well i cant think of anything else right now, but lets just say, global warming is not at all good.
A good movie to watch is "an inconvinient truth" starring Al Gore. It really helped me understand the issue of global warming...
hope i helped!

No worldwide warming is a rip-off the place human beings like Gore makes assorted money. Their reason is to strengthen the cost of residing like gas at $3.00 in line with gal . they think of they could cave in our financial gadget approximately $5.00 in line with gal. The CO2 is dealt with be the plant life and photosynthesis. Then methane is yet another eco-friendly abode gasoline it somewhat is inflicting worldwide warming, nicely there is a few issues that makes me believe that the finished component is purely a lie. they have revealed numerous documents on the quantity of methane released. there's a issue, methane is somewhat easy so it could pass over 50 miles up ,so how did they degree it. in fact that they did no longer or they could of popular that methane is explosive and whilst it gets that top in the ambience it is going to oxidize and turn into CO2 , If the eco-friendly abode gasoline isn't the place it is meant to be ,some thing is incorrect and there is no worldwide warming.

I think it is pretty clear that a moderate amount of warming which seems likely, will end up as a net positive. Some more people will die of heat stroke but many more will be saved from dying from cold related causes. Crops should generally increase since the extra warmth will increase growing seasons and the extra CO2 will also aid plants much like a fertilizer and will reduce the amount of water that a plant needs. Some animals will be hurt and others will be helped.

One of the biggest dangers to science is the misuse of computer modeling. All the GW predictions and theory are based not on controlled empirical experimentation at all. It is based on model simulation which is full of problems.
Already, mathematicians and computer engineers are pointing out the fallacy of climatology research inherent in the system they use to "prove" their theories:
http://www.columbia.edu/cu/cup/catalog/data/023113/0231132123.HTM
The dangers of global warming legislation may out-way the dangers of global warming. We already spend $40 billion dollars a year on GW research alone. This money could have been used to eradicate poverty in Africa once and for all. If we spent $40 billion dollars a year on AIDS research, you think we'd have a vaccine by now? You can give that money every year to McDonald's and they will never cut another rain forest again. That's a lot of money.
Well, what IPCC, G8, And Kyoto are suggesting is more in the tens of trillions of dollars to solve the global warming problem spent on an annual basis. That is a lot of money that could have been spent on todays most serious problems all over the world which will instead go into the pockets of industries and businesses that claim to be protecting us from the weather.

A lot of people who "dont believe in global warming" arent trying to "not know the facts". we are smart enough to know when a group of people are either playing up or totally manufacturing a crisis for self aggrandizement and self enrichment. An increase of less than a fifth of a degree overall is not a crisis! We simply dont have a long enough sample of climate data to determine a trend. The problem we doubters have with global warming are these:
1. Is Global Warming REALLY happening? Our technology is not sufficient to predict or even understand the weather systems of this planet. We cannot even predict the weather for the next few days with any real accuracy, how can we predict what is happening long term with the entire climate?
The polar ice caps have shrunk in the past, long before there was any significant human output of socalled "green house gasses".
2. If this is based on science, why is global warming being treated like some kind of religious dogma? Scientific infidels who dare to question global warming are subject to all sorts of hateful hysteria, name calling, defunding and such. If global warming is true, the data can stand for themselves without all this persecution of "deniers" or doubters.
3. IF global warming is really happening, are WE causing any of it and is there anything WE can do about it. These idiotic proposals, like giving up barbeques (while pollution spewing helicopters fly around monitoring people violating barbeque bans), using a single sheet of TP, going to hybrid cars (a savings of less than 10% on fossil fuels overall, if EVERYBODY got one of the things). THe only thing that we could do which would have any real effect on the climate would be to give up civilization, technology and go back to living in grass huts and eating our food raw. Even then, a large portion of us would have to give up living and just die. Any volunteers?
Of course, when we die, we would have to find some way to keep our corpses from rotting and adding methane to the atmosphere.
One thing we doubters know for sure, all these stupid rock concerts and leftie elites jetting around in stinky private jets telling us about how WE have to give up our lifestyles are part of the problem, not a solution. Wake up!

Actually, we are in the stages of global climate change, and only certain areas will be affected by warming trends. Other places may actually experience cooling effects. Having changes in climate affects many processes from weather patterns to even changes in the ocean currents. Animal and plant life will also be affected. In areas where temperature is increasing, organisms with certain temp ranges (thermal limits) will have to migrate to new areas and some organisms can benefit by expanding their ranges. In the deserts of the southwestern United States, there exists 'Sky Islands' or cooler, wetter regions on top of mountains which support some unique habitats for critters. However, with increasing temperatures in those regions, those animals are unable to migrate and will be lost. Other animals are restricted as well by urban boundaries. Aside from animals being affected, as humans, we expect to see more violent weather patterns, changes in temperature (mostly hotter temps) and changes in sea level. Some lower regions, notably islands, may eventually become flooded. It isn't going to happen overnight, and it isn't going to be all gloom and doom. However, the Earth we know will be changed.

The biggest danger really isn't coastal flooding, as many people point out. It's the changing weather patterns. Theoretically, it will turn parts of the earth that are current vibrant into deserts. And, that will affect worldwide food supplies.

Well it's all in how you see it.
Yeah sure there will be environmental changes, but not necessarily bad ones.
Think about it like this.
In the Jurassic period, it was very hot.
And a lot more plant life to support all them big dinosaurs, right.
So I don't think it will bother us too much, even though I don't believe it is happening.

Global warming is a very bad thing that could destroy our planet. The heat is melting the poler ice caps whick could result in fludding, tidal waves, and more.
