A friend of mine work with someone who is bi-polar. The guy is a little higher up but acts jealous of my friend. The creepy part, I've caught him staring at my friend and staring at me different times. I just smile wave and get a way as fast as possible. His body lang. is totally off.
Do you think this guy will snap? Oh, the reason why I know he is bi-polar is wife told me.

I'm not seto-type anyone. I've been around 2 other bi-polar people and they never had the starring problem.

Songbird is right... Bi-polar disorder, also known as manic depression, is a mood disorder, characterised by swings in a person's mood from high to low - euphoric to depressed.
Someone with Bi-polar may have delusional ideas often characterised by grandiose behaviour when on a 'high' this might explain the jealous reaction to your friend but this doesnt assume any violent behaviour... you are actually dealing with this very well by maintaining a normal response i.e. waving and smiling etc.

Most people think someone with bi-polar is crazy and they will just snap. No idea where they got that idea. The main difference in them and anyone else is the energy level. Just like everything else there is something making them excited or mad. Just take those feelings, times them by ten and you have the general gist of what is happening.

For example let's say this guy is having a good day because his wife made him his favorite meal (yes, it's that simple) then he will be excited and probably feel invincible for the day/hour/minute. Then bad news comes in the bus is two minutes late and he suddenly feels behind, then hopeless, then worthless... Basically, small things have big impact.

Sounds more like he is paranoid or possibly attracted. Would have to know more about the situation to say more than that.

Bi-polar people seldom snap. He is manic-depressive. He will have high high days, and very low low days. That is the condition. It is treated with Lithium. The reaction to the medication is to seems very steady, licking lips often, and a slightly mono voice. They do not hear voices and are not dangerous, or any more so than most 'normal' people.

No, I don't think he will 'snap'. Bi-polar means that he has times in his life when he is very depressed and times in his life when he is very euphoric for no reason. Being bi-polar does not mean he will 'snap'...it just means that he has very high ups and downs in his life that he has to deal with. If he is diagnosed with bi-polar then he is most likely medicated with a mood stabilizer. That works to keep him not too high and not too low. Being bi-polar does not mean you are crazy, it's a physical condition having to do with your brain chemistry. He is no more likely to snap than anybody else. Maybe you are imagining him staring at you...or maybe he just thinks you're pretty.

Ha, I would be more worried about someone down the street or in your grocery shop. How can you basically stereotype someone because of there illness? There are plenty of bipolar people in the world and they aren't freaks an you have probably come across hundreds of them in your life. If anything they are more likely to harm themselves before others. And as for the staring, its called a short attention span therefore they may start off doing it and then forget that they are. Give the guy a break and go do some reading.

while you're rather Bipolar, try to be on a temper stabilizer. Effexor is an anti-rigidity/anti-depressant. Getting on a temper stabilizer like lithium, depekote, or lamatical will help. i be attentive to what you recommend approximately working. i'm Bipolar a million and while the strain gets too lots, I land up interior the scientific institution. i became interior the scientific institution final November and characteristic no longer been lower back to artwork complete-time because. My docs shop telling me to get jobs that have little or no rigidity linked with them. I frequently chortle at that. i only can not look to discover those....precise now I also have a chairman who's an asshole and coworkers who're only downright recommend. i do no longer be attentive to what to do the two. yet, I shop working, just to teach that i'm no longer ill and that i'm attempting to "be well-known." each and every now and then, it only sucks....

well he won't snap if he takes his medication,Now if he goes off of his medication yes there is a chance he will snap.I think since his wife has told you that he is Bi-Polar that it makes you a bit nervous and when you see him looking at you that inside your head you think he is going to snap at any moment.Just ignore his stares.
