Yes. Your witnesses just have to be 18 or older. My FIL witnessed for my husband at our wedding.

Yes. We are doing this also fro the same reason. I also think it's a wonderful thing to have your mothers sign as your witnesses. IMO...its much better then some friend you may not even associate with in 10 or 20 years' time.

Of course they may. Anyone past the age of legal majority who has not been judged mentally incompetant may witness your marriage.

And who could be a better witness to your wedding than your own family? It's a meaningful gesture, and I think they'll be proud to be your witnesses.

Any two witnesses can as long as they are not the bride/groom/officiant.
