I was caught shoplifting the other day with my friend, with stuff under a hundred dollars, and we are both under 18 and charged, what do you think we will get.

first time? If so, Most likely fines and community service or probation. You will have to take a class on why shoplifting is bad, and you will most likely be sent a letter in the mail from the company you stole from, with a separate fine. This is in lieu of a lawsuit. Just stop before your 18. Because once a theft charge is on your record, a lot of doors will be closed to you in terms of jobs and school scholarships. Also your banned from the store until you are 18, or if you are an adult, banned for life.

Anything from a fine and probation to a stay in a youth center. The sentence will depend on any previous convictions and the dollar amount of your theft. If it is a first offens, you will likely be put on probation and be required to have some counseling. If you have already been down that route, it will be assumed you need a bit more rehabilitation.

Depending on the state, Restitution, and probation till 21. In most states, if convected as a minor, you can remain in Juvenal system till 21. Community service is another punishment. The bigger issue is, you committed a crime, and seem to not care for anything more than the punishment. What you did is wrong, and you should accept any punishment and never do it again.

Oh I did this twice when I was younger and I got off the hook both times. Usually they'll just send you to a class and have you watch films on the consequences, and you'll probably have to write an essay about why you think what you did was wrong. That's about all, though. It's really not that serious on the first offense. You just go through a lot of lecturing.

More than likely, a ticket and you will be told to stay out of the store you shoplifted from.

Realistically, it depends on your age, race, gender, whether you've ever been caught before and how the judge perceives you.

No matter how much time you do, I hope you learned a lesson.

Probably community service, and probation. Possibly a fine. If you smoke marijuana, stop now, and starting taking golden seal root capsules with lots of water everyday. If you fail a urine test you could go to jail.

Not what you deserve, which in my opinion should be a stout caning. Three or four licks would suffice.
