He's not retiring! Are you kidding? He's just fleeing the sinking ship so he'll have some kind of credibility left to leverage in a couple of years. Rove leaving the White House is the ultimate sign of Dubya's lame-duck-ness, a signal that the power-brokers no longer have any use for him.
