People of other religions are not telling them to worship Buddha, Mohammed or Krishna in order to achieve salvation. and the Bible tells us that Jesus was sent by God, not that he WAS God.
why would someone be sent to Hell even though they worshipped God, albeit through Krishna rather than Jesus; or directly, without a human intermediary?

Since they happened into this belief system, they are forced to think that it is the only valid way. Silly, isn't it.

We worship God through Jesus because it is because of Jesus' sacrifice on the cross that we are able to be saved by God and worship Him.
People who worship other gods are condemned because they have ignored Jesus (who was God's Son). As Jeus said, " I am the way, the truth and the light. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME. "
God bless

For God so loved the earth that he sent His only Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
This is how I remember it and may not be word perfect but the general point is there. Either you believe the Bible or you do not.

You have to read deeper into it.

"I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me" John 14:6

Fortunately, because of His love for us, God sent Jesus to die in our place to pay the death penalty we deserve for our sin. Jesus chose to do this because He loves us, and was the only one able to do this because He is fully God (He had to be infinite to pay the penalty for more than one person) and He is fully man (He had to be a sinless human to pay the penalty for a sinful human). Jesus is not only sinless, but He is 100% God and yet 100% man.No one other religious leader has done this; no one else could have done this.

The Father, the part of God that is transcendent, infinite and beyond our understanding,
The Son, Jesus Christ, the part of God that is immanent and appeared to us in the way that we could best know Him, in human form. He was both "Son of God," an expression of God as contained in human form, and at the same time "Son of Man," the ultimate expression of who we can be in our most divine form. The Holy Spirit, the part of God that lives in the heart and soul of each of us, acting as our Counselor for those who believe and listen to His voice within us. It called the Holy Trinity

For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and you have been given fullness in Christ, who is the head over every power and authority."
Colossians 2:9-10

The Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
Words of Jesus Christ in John 14:26

Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?

I always thought the whole trinity concept was a pretty weak part of modern Christianity.
