Hey there! I know how you feel. I have POCS too, and while it does cause weight gain and make it difficult to lose weight it can be done. I am on the LA Weight Loss Plan, while I don't lose weight as fast as some of the others, I do lose. I am down two sizes and 30 pounds. I also keep a food diary, and that really helps, it holds me accountable for what I eat through the day. You should aim to lose 2 lbs a week. The best way to help you lose weight, or at least what I have found, is to eat healthier, add veggies and fruits, drink at least 64 oz of water a day, avoid sugar and salt. Use low sodium salt and if you need to sweeten something use artificial sweetener. Add exercise to you life. If you only walk 20 minutes a day, pretty soon, you will feel the difference and you will want to walk further. More importantly look in the mirror every morning and say something good about yourself. I do this and it really helps. For instance this morning I said, Wendy I like the way that top looks on you, and then I smiled. Just don't try to lose a gob of weight in a short time period. You will only gain it back if you don't lose it the smart way.
Good Luck!!

Okay you need to lose weight, but do this for your health and for yourself NOT because you want to look good for going back to school. And no there is no safe way to lose 83 pounds before September 5. By the end of the year is a possibility, however your goal is not to diet, it is to make a life style change, eat less, and healthier, exercise more and set to lose 2 lbs per week. This means that you are going to take 41 weeks to lose the weight that you want to. It is slower, but healthier and is much more likely to be permanent. Loose the weight too quickly and there is a very high chance that you will gain it back again plus another 10 lbs.

Loosing this kind of weight is such a short period of time will be a task indeed. I would not attempt to take on such a task
It will lead to dissapointment. You will probably send your body into shock.
You may want to focus on your health more so than your weight. You need to know that sugar, junk food, and fast food are not your friends when it come to being fit or healthy(being fit means you will be at your ideal weight). Too much of these thing will lead to a very unhealthy you.
Balance is the key to life; eating only convenient and processed food often containing growth hormones, preservatives, additives and seasons like MSG (see http://stayinformed.info/kitchen.html why you should stay away from wheat (gluten), MSG and other foods that causes obesity and hypertension) may lead to weight gain, obesity, diabetes, hypertension and other diseases.
Here are a few suggestions to becoming lean and fit:
Substitute your sugar drinks such as sodas and juices for water, green or ginger tea. Drink 30 minutes before or after each meal.
When eating, help the digestive process. Take your time and chew your food 3 to 4 times longer than usually take ( break it down to almost a liquid). This will aid in the digestive process. Add fiber and substitute some daily choices like (fruits, vegetables, dairy, and meats) with organic selection. The organic foods do not contain the growth hormones, MSG, preservatives, gluten, and artificial flavoring may lead to weight gain.
Remove or reduce wheat, dairy, sugar, and processed food (junk foods, can foods, food in boxes, restaurants foods, fast foods, etc.).
Enjoy your life, exercise when ever you get the opportunity, go for a walk, jog, swim, go out dancing, play sports, or just do what you enjoy a lot and incorporate exercise. These things will get you on your way to being healthier which will translate into a smaller and more vibrant you.

It's wonderful you have found treatment for your PCOS.
If you strain your body by starvation dieting, you will only mess up your hormones more, and make it even harder to lose.
Go for 7 lbs a month and you'll be melting before their eyes.
By next Sept, you'll have lost all the weight.
If they haven't offered you glucophage, ask about it.
Most if not all women with PCOS have really bad glucose intolerance, and even having 20 gms of carb a day will make it impossible to lose. If you don't want another med ( and who does? ) then the Atkins Diet is better for PCOS ladies than WW, as WW has too many carbs for women like us.
If you can get a hold of "Blood Sugar Blues" or "The insulin resistance diet" or even a copy of "The Atkins Diet" any one of them will explain what's going on for you.. and all 3 can be had cheap on ebay or amazon.com in the used section.
One of many great support sites below.
Good luck !!

Quick answer...only if you are wearing lots of heavy clothes.
No one can lose that much weight in such a short period of time. However, if you stick to your healthy eating plan with weight watchers....and exercise regularly...you should still look good by the start of school.

That's impossible... You don't want to lose a ton of weight too quickly anyway because you'll be left with sagging skin and look terrible. You'll look the best doing what you're doing which is eating healthy, drinking a ton of water, and exercise. Everyone always wants a quick fix and it doesn't work like that. You're better off being happy with who you are and the weight will come off eventually.

There is no HEALTHY way to lose 83 pounds before Sept. 5. Stick with your diet and take the weight off in a slow and healthy manner.

Absolutely no way, not even if you had a personal fitness trainer and a nutritionist to make all your low calorie meals for you!!!
You should aim to lose around 1-2lbs a week, you will have more chance of keeping it off, rather than going on a crash diet.
Eat healthily and work out, it's the only way I'm afraid, there are no quick fixes.
Good luck.

Start accepting your self as you are. You might be more fantastic as you are than if you look like Nicole Ritchie did lately. There's no easy way of losing weight, just ways to lose it slowly and accepting the fact that you might not lose it all.
Feel good about yourself, there's more to it than the looks. Not saying it doesn't matter, but there's more to it. Balance. You gotta find the balance between both.

You could very well do it before the end of the year, but not by Sep. 5, if u managed to lose 83lbs b/4 sep. 5, it would have to be in an unhealthy way, and thats never good, ur hair and teeth could get very messed up, but aim towards Christmas-- I know it seems far away, but it will get here and if ya dont start now u will be in the same boat. GOOD LUCK!!
