If you are a drug company wanting to sell a drug you advertise what you can maybe cure everywhere people look. The old saying, 'Tell them and they will come' applies in this case. Of course after you take them for awhile you develop a resistance, addiction or other reaction to the medicine so you have to take another medicine to counteract the untoward effects of the first medicine. Drug companies make billions in the US.

There is always that possibility, along with the increased " stress " that most of us live with day-to-day.Stress has been known to be the cause of certain illnesses. Now that we are living longer, there are new disorders/illnesses that didn't seem to exist years ago. But, years ago, the technology that exists today, wasn't available. People have died that were just diagnosed as " age related" because an actual diagnosis wasn't readily available. Today, we can treat most illnesses and/or be able to diagnose what the illness may be. In regards to medications, this is a double-edged sword. They can heal diseases that weren't available yet, the medicines come with side effects. I do know that without certain medications, a person's survival rate would be greatly decreased. The human body is a very complex system. This is just another view to be looked at.

Yes and no. Some cancers tend to run in families and are genetic! Others are caused by people compromising their immune system in all sorts of ways. Too much sun is an easy one to correct!
What is weakened are the medications that we take as they are overused and cause mutant forms of infections. Infections lower your resistance to other issues! For instance. There is absolutely no reason to put an antibiotic on a small cut or scrape. Keep it clean and let your body do the rest. This makes your system stronger!
As far as erectile issues, men do not understand how easy it is to damage the blood flow to their penis. The two main culprits are alcohol and cigarettes. If you want to have issues in your 40's just keep drinking and smoking!

I don't agree. We have just this past century increased our life span from 47 to nearing 80 years of age. With age come these diseases.
What is causing an increase in diabetes is being overweight and obese. ED is caused by blood flow problems. STD's come from more people having sex without thinking about consequences. We will see further increases because its not the smart people who are having large families.

If you think about it, most medications have something else that affects our bodies, so yes, I agree that medications and drugs we take can be causing an increase in our health problems.

Yes, both cause problem. Treating heart disease, example, one takes aspilet which after many intake causes ulcer, and if it be treated with medication, drops into arthritis. So are drub abuse causes what you mentioned. Ounce prevention is better than cure.
