my 14 y/o still goes around the house in his boxers as long as we don't have company.
Don't bother neither of us,he has always done it.

My son is 11 and he has always walked around in underwear & a t-shirt. He does not like to wear pjs anymore so I let him because we live in Florida and sometimes even with the a/c on it gets hot. He switched from tightie whities to the longer cotton underwear and they look like shorts. I stopped letting him wear boxers because he starting letting it all hangout a few times. He does get dressed when people come over though. My husband sometimes does the same thing.

I grew up in a house full of women and only one man (My Dad)- we all walked around in just our underwear (we wore BRAS) all the time and now I have 2 little girls and they do it too- I think its- perfectly normal- as long as we are clothed when company is over. It is a matter of being comfortable with one another- And no- strange incestuous things ever went on!

Funny you should ask! My son used to walk around totally nude until he was like 3 and then only underwear until he was like 10! I just had him put on clothes when company came over & he just eventually out grew it on his own. I think it's perfectly normal! Must be a boy thing, cuz my daughters never did it? LOL

there is no harm in it. why do you want to make a big deal out of it.. could be he's hot. It's inside your house, and he feels comfortable..
If it really bothers you that much ,make him put on a pair of shorts. but Do Not make him feel ashamed, or you could cause poor body self esteem down the road.
My son has been doing this for years, even naked in the house..* he's 7* He will out grow it btw..my oldest has

I don't think its a problem as long as it doesn't bother you, although he may not understand why he can do it when no one is there, and why he can't when you have company. It may be better to nip it in the bud before puberty too. You don't have to tell him it is bad or make him feel ashamed, just tell him it is bad manners to let other people see his underwear.

Its a boy thing. Most boys do this and it's quite normal.... my 8yo does as well. As long as you don't have visitors when he does it, Id just let him be.
A person should be able to wear as much or little as they wish when behind closed doors at home. As long as he realises it's not appropriate to do in public or infront of others, I think it's ok and normal.

I think thats fine, if you discourage him he might become uncomfortable with his body or uncomfortable around his family I really wouldnt advise discouraging him from doing it. Its completely healthy, his self esteem must be high which is a great thing!

Unless he's got sisters, I wouldn't worry about it. Boys are just naturally more comfortable stripping down. As long as he's not answering the door in his underwear, it's his house too. Might as well let him be comfortable. :)

Well, I am quite envious. I would love to go around in the nuddy - not even underpants - but my wife won't allow it ! Mind you, at my age it ain't a pretty sight so can understand that she wouldn't want to look at my 'dried arrangements'. By all means let the lad go around in underpants - or nothing at all if that's his preference.

I used to do that to until I hit puberty. Then the embarrassment of the changes my body was going through made me keep more clothes on. Up until I was 5 I drove my parents insane trying to cloth me. It's natural.
