My boyfriend and I don't get to see eachother that often, so when we do we have a lot of sex, lately I have been getting reoccuring Urinary Tract Infections (UTI's) after we are together. We are both clean, I wear cotton undearwear, he wears boxers, I use the bathroom before and after we have sex....Why is this happening?

A women urethra is susceptible to getting infected because of where it is, and its length. It is very short in a woman!

UTI's are not abnormal with sex, but could also be due to something else.

Do not let them go without treating them as you could wind up with some significant long term damage to your ureters and kidneys!

I would also have a urine test as you may have something you are not aware of as PH has a lot to do with issues in the vagina! You could also have an infection you don't know you have.

Recurrent UTI's should be followed closely!
