I'm getting married in May and up to now I've booked my church and venue, I've been advised to sort out the wedding dress then bridesmaids dresses then suits then flowers so they all co-ordinate whilst I'm looking into these I'm also getting prices for cars, cakes and photographers.
There's more to do than i thought
I've started to keep a bit of a scrap book with websites etc in for the main things and also started looking at magazines for hairstyle and make up ideas - I've been cutting out the pictures of the ones i like so i don't have to start panicking closer to the day.
hope you have a great day
p.s don't forget rings & invites

Get a book and make a list! Start with your dress - decide on accessories, shoes, nice underwear, if you need a different bra if it's a halterneck dress for instance. You need flowers for yourself, the guests, the tables. Basically just go through the whole wedding reception from start to finish and make a list for everything. Once that's done, you can start deciding what you want and how it should look and then go price hunting. That's what I did and it worked out fine. Make sure you check prices though as some people are real sharks!

Check out www.theknot.com. They give you a basic timeline to follow as well as a budgeter to keep you organized. There are many things to consider, but perhaps some are taken care of by the venue itself. If not, you need to look into entertainment (DJ, live band, etc...), photography, cake, invitations, and selecting the guys and girls to be in the wedding and choosing styles and colors for them. Other things such as hotel reservations and rehearsal dinner (if there is to be one) are also considerations, but do not need to be addressed this far in advance. But check out that site...it is free to use and has helped me tremendously. Congratulations and good luck. I know you will pull it all together!

Buy a wedding planning kit from www.confetti.co.uk and it will help you to remember everything. There are table decorations, food, drinks, attendants clothes, bridal party flowers and clothes, gifts for family etc.
It seems a lot but just tackle each task one at a time and you will be fine.
Good luck!!

A good way to keep your list of thing to do is to buy a wedding planning book. But a good place to start from your point is look at food, rentals, church or ceremony site, also book all your flowers. also look into tux rental and compare.
a book can give you a timline so you can plan easily. Make sure while you plan to compare prices on everything. Congrads and good luck

photographer, flowers...there are so many details that need tending too. I would suggest buying some bridal mags and going through them, and they do give you some good pointers. if not ask a friend who has gotten married. Or if nothing else works, don't stress your self out, hire a wedding planner.
Good luck to you!
