Where, in the Bible, do they talk about self esteem?

I know God doesn´t make ugly, but I cannot go out of the house without comparing myself with others and feeling bad about the way I look.

I see your profile picture and you look fine. But God says that true beauty is on the inside (a woman who practices loving the lord and loving others).

Be the rare ruby who practices being nice to people and helping people. Don't be someone who is self-consumed (selfish).

My dear
there are no magic potions in the Bible. The bible will make sense to you if you read it in the right mind. Being too self conscious about your appearance will put you off the Bible - its when people get messed up in their body for the Glory of God in order to see themselves, as being created in His image - which is a beauty in the heart and mind, is when you start getting wise. The ultimate sign of beauty in the bible is a carcass of a man butchered beyond recognition and hanging on a cross. This man who's name was Jesus - as you might know - left this world with the highest self esteem in the world. When you recognise that the beauty of the outside is only skin deep, and highly insignificant, enough to focus on the qualities in your heart and foster them, then your self esteem will begin to rise and the bible will start to make sense to you.

Ps and while you only show your face in your avatar you do not look that bad niether.

Peace

Obviously don't listen to those who don't know God, because they can't even comprehend how much God loves us.

Romans 5:5 -- And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

1 Peter 3:3-4 -- 3Don’t be concerned about the outward beauty of fancy hairstyles, expensive jewelry, or beautiful clothes. 4You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God.

You are a very pretty lady, and you don't need to compare yourself to anyone. Everyone does that and it's only good for bringing yourself down. I'd bet some people are secretly jealous of your looks, too. Instead, focus on your strengths. I'm sure God has given you many gifts, in addition to your beauty. If you'd like to talk further, feel free to e-mail me. God bless!

No where...

If you feel bad about yourself then why don't you make yourself feel better?

Find what it is that you think is wrong with you(I doubt there is anything) and see how you can make it better. If you have acne there is medicine, if you have bad complexion there is makeup, hate you hair? there is a thing called a salon and they can help...don't like your clothes or think they're not that great? You can find many cheap clothing stores that sell the latest trends so you can look like the people off of the OC without having to pay top dollar for it.

But maybe if you don't want to do that, instead of comparing people's features with yours thinking they're better...look at people's faults and flaws in their appearance. You will soon see that people aren't as perfect as you might think.

Nobodys perfect they just want everybody to think they are with that image thing.

Put on some make up and fix that hair if it makes you happy.
The real beauty is whats on the inside of everybody just busting to get out.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but the Bible's the last place I'd go for a self-esteem boost. "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of god" "the wages of sin is death" "As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool to his folly." "the heart is decietful and desperately wicked, who can know it?"
Christianity's goal is to make a person feel as filthy and disgusting as possible about themselves so they can sell their brand of religion, threatening the person with hell if they don't believe, or if they happen to question their beliefs.

Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word made up by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand.

If you feel bad about the way you look, then change the way you look. Eat right and exercise. Sitting around the house talking to yourself (praying) about jebus isn't going to help you. Get outside and get involved in some hobbies that you enjoy.

When you know who you are in Christ, then you know that if Christ is for you, who can be against you. Jesus says, no weapon formed against you can prosper. All through the Bible God says "Fear Not." Perfect love casts out all fear because fear has torment.

God says that you are "fearfully and wonderfully made." He created you. God says that "before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before you came forth out of the womb I sanctified thee......."Jeremiah 1:5

Psalm 27:1
the Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?

1 John 4:4
You are of God, little children,
and have overcome them:
because greater is He that is in you,
than he that is in the world.

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things
through Christ
which strengthens me.

The bible is the last thing you want to read to bolster your self esteem, especially if you are a female.
