I do not inhale, not that you would want to but I know some people do. I just like to enjoy the aroma and the great taste of tobacco. Is that a sin?

Just remember this:
I don't agree with smoking as a Christian but.....Charles Spurgeon smoked a cigar every day.
Smoking will not keep us out of heaven....it will simply get us there a whole lot faster.

Yes. Smoking is not wrong in and of itself. Being addicted to something is wrong. Some Christians would argue that smoking and drinking gives the appearance of evil - so if you are a Christian smoking around a rookie Christian, I would use more discretion and be sure not to send the wrong message.

YES. Your Christianity is not determined by a pipe or a cigarette. NO, I do not believe it is a sin. Is it unhealthy, most assuredly - and not inhaling doesn't keep you safe - you can still develop mouth cancers and probably more. But in the grand scheme of things, I don't think a pipe or a cigarette will keep you from Gods good graces.

I am a Native American. Smoke what you want if it is not against your spirituality!
Natives offer tobacco as a gift to great spirit.
And smoke to bond us to a person or situation.
Don't inhale if you don't wish to, but burning is an offering.

No one should smoke...but of course tobacco wasn't around when Jesus was so He didn't preach against it.
If you wanna believe in the LDS church it says smoking tobacco is bad for you...which 150 years later we all know now.

I don't believe its a sin per se...but its not recommended. Its what comes out of a persons body that condemns them..not what goes in...however, for health reasons...I know because I'm a light smoker...struggling constantly to quit...but we all have something don't we...So I just pray about it and soon...very soon, one day I will never smoke again. nope there is nothing in any bible anywhere which prevents smoking , drinking, or drug taking. There are just warnings about excess. I once had a classmate express surprise that I was catholic becuse I wore glasses. When I asked him how he came to make that conclusion he answered quite honestly " I thought catholics were not allowed to use artificial aids" !

Yes, you can be a christian and smoke a pipe. I am a christian and I smoke a pipe. I remember priests smoking pipes and cigars when I was a kid.
