The Liberal Left as usual wants sympathy and/or wants to downplay the severity of a crime/person unless of course it's a White Christian Male.
BTW----The Correct term for Illegal "Immigrants" is Illegal Alien. Immigration has the strong connotation of Legal Entrance into a country.

Because of the touchy, feel good liberal media that loves to protray the underdog as being the illegal alien. Its the hollywood mentality that depicts cops and especially whites as always being the heavy and the poor minority as the victim. Funny, in the movies those in prison the majority of them are white, yet in the real world its just the opposite. Go figure.

An immigrant is an immigrant, legal or otherwise. The term is not status-limited. The mainstream media does indeed distinguish between legal and illegal immigrants. The talking heads, however, like to lump them all together out of ignorance and spite towards foreigners.
