the least common Italian surname's in my opinion are Capriola and Sancimino. There are only 19 Capriola's listed in Italy and about 150 in the U.S. and there are only 10 Sancimino's listed in Italy and less than 50 in the U.S. .

Also I would like to add another name to the most common in Italy is the Vitale surname and Esposito is not Italian but Spanish.
