Of course, it highly depends on what your plans for the future are.
If you plan to move to Belarus, learning Russian and Belarusian would be a good advice. If it is only for fun, you could go more exotic and chose something like Miskito or Tigre.
It also depends on the availability of learning material and/or speakers to practise with. It would be of no help to tell you everybody is learning Chinese if you don't have regular access to the net and there is no place to learn it in your town.

But in a general line, I'd recomend you to read this:

first it is good to have maybe friedn speaking in this language (not necesarryly in real life internet isvast............it helps when someone can speak/ write

second you musht be interested even the simplest language will be hard if someone just don't wan to learn

third if you plan work you can choose one useful........
thought less used are useful too as not many people know it......
so almost every will be useful unless this is not official language like Klingon.. or Latin........
tought Latin may be useful in some jobs.. I think (but don't know)

of course if someone likes Star Wars klingon is OK...

the most important of these points is seond one!

Well i currently took a chinese course, spanish course, and american sign language course. But out of all three of them i love american sign language. I love the fact of using my hands and face to communicate and not only that you learn about a wonderful culture. You also meet other deaf people that know other sign languages like chinese sign language or french sign language etc. I think this is a great language to know.. but the choice is all yours.

Depends what you want to do. In the USA spanish could probably be a useful second language, worldwide chinese (but that's kinda difficult), if you're in Europe: French, German, Spanish and Italian can be useful. In the middle east : Arabic, northern Africa: French and Arabic. etc..etc...
