It sounds to me that you understood baptism correctly and was baptized for the right reason. [By immersion, "in the name of (according to the instructions of, or by the authority of) Jesus Christ for the remission of sins" - Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38].
Trust in Jesus! He said "He that believes and is baptized shall be saved"!
Instead of a weak baptism, you may just have a weak faith. To a certain extent, this is probably normal. You are a new convert, a "babe in Christ". Babies need milk to grow stronger. They are not expected to be full grown and strong when they are first born!
FEED YOUR FAITH! "Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God!" (Romans 10:17) Study your Bible!
Ask a leader at church if there is a study for new converts that you can take. Ask for ways you can be active in service programs at church. This will help to exercise your faith!
Make it a point to talk to people who seem to be of strong faith. This may be an older member of church, a preacher, an Elder, or a teacher. Just being around them will help you see examples of faith in action! If you feel comfortable, you can discuss your concerns with them.
Congratulations on becoming a Christian! Try to not focus on yourself so much! There are none of us who are worthy to be saved. Focus on others and focus on Christ and just try to do your best to live as He would want you to live! If you stumble, get up and walk again!

If you are taught something that agrees with the Bible, accept it! If something you are taught does not agree with what you see in the Bible, reject it, or at least ask questions!
Demand Bible answers (with book, chapter, and verse) to your Bible questions! Then check the bible to see if it is true! (Acts 17:11) (Be sure to read the verses in their context.)

well, sounds like you feel lousy because your worried about whether you sort of... mest up your baptism... I would say nothing went wrong! water being cold definately wouldn't matter and opening your eyes DEFINATELY would not mater: when a baby is baptised they most probably have no idea what is going on, and if they open their eyes, they are still truly baptised aren't they? (yes lol). I'm sure god has forgiven you and if something did go wrong i reckon he would understand... After all even if you break one of the 10 commandments you can still get into heaven, so im sure that if something did go wrong he wouldn't care...

Since I don't know all the things that are happening in your life, I can't answer most of your questions. I would suggest that you look in your heart, ask your savior, and consult with your pastor to find the reason you don't feel well. You may also consider seeking the advice of a medical professional to rule out physiological problems.
To your question of repeat baptisms, there is no rule against having another one, but it's not necessary. All apostolic churches recognize one baptism for the remission of sins. The one you had is adequate.
Good luck on your journey. God be with you.

Baptism begins in the heart, water baptism is because we believe and accept what Christ did for us. We are dunk to give evidence in our life of our confession of faith. But no matter how many times one is dunked unless there has been a heart change towards God, nothing has happened. We can not rely on feelings but must rely on God. The question you need to ask yourself is what was your heart attitude when you were baptized and why did you get baptized. If these things are in line with God's word you probably do not need to be baptized again, but who knows a second dunking might help.

Baptism by water is only half a baptism. Without the laying on of hands for the Gift of the Holy Ghost, baptism by water is about as effective as baptizing a bag of sand.

Seriously mate, do you really think God is that shallow? There is a place in the Bible that says we are saved not by our acts, but by and ONLY by the GRACE of GOD!!
So whatever anyone else is feeding you, you must know that Christianity is about having a relationship with God and respecting Him, the way the creator of the universe deserves to be treated. Guilt and condemnation do not come from God!
And "ATHIEST BARBIE" God is right for everyone, whether you find it out in this life or the next!

I would suggest that perhaps the problem is that your focusing too much on the ritual and ceremony and technicalitys.
In Judaism we have Yom Kippur each year, and many feel a good, fresh, cleansed feeling after services are done. its actually quite wonderful. .... and no baptism involved.
just my 2 cents... stop focusing on the physical ritual and work on the spiritual aspect of it. I mean c'mon, this is God we're dealing with, if God is so finicky that water temperature or things like that, would put a kaibosh on things....

Could it be that you are feeling trepidation that you will have to answer for your sins from now on? When you were baptized, you were washed clean of any sins you had commit ed in your past, but now...
God does not expect you to be perfect, he created you, he knows your weaknesses. God will forgive if you come to him with a penitent heart and you ask for forgiveness. Look to him for guidance and do your best to surrender to his will.

what you feel is called disappointment. you somehow convinced yourself that God gives a damn if you stick your head under water while someone chants some "magic" words. Be glad you still have some common sense left which is telling you what a ridiculous notion that was. The cure is to stop trying to make yourself believe in fairy tales, go out and live right and save the "water sports" for the jacuzzi.

the optimum meaning of baptism is faith. You coach your faith in Christ via being baptized and so presented in His Church. until eventually now Christ ascended in heaven He sent the apostles to pass worldwide extensive and baptize human beings in the call of the father, the Son and Holy Spirit so as that they could be saved through fact they're engaging in the secret of Christ's sacrifice for all human beings. Even He himself gave the occasion whilst Christ presented Himself to be baptized via St. John the Baptist, even regardless of the indisputable fact that He knew that John's baptism became a coach of repentance and not purely like the single He commanded the apostles to do in the call of the Spirit. The immersion in the water has a meaning had its meaning which you die from the worldwide of sin in the immersion and upward push up as Christ as one gets out of the water. yet as you mentioned it is no longer that important despite if to pour water or being immersed. those are incorrect in asserting that a public profession is adequate. via being baptized you're additionally making a public profession of the religion. yet it is as Christ ordered. confident there are the are varieties of baptism via hearth, the place guy or woman who did no longer believe and go through martyrdom is professing his faith in Jesus. How else could you are trying this then giving your lifestyles for what you believe? then there is that of purpose the place it could have been impossible to do the easily baptism. God knows of the point in our hearts.
