Sir, it also says in the Bible, "Do not tempt God." Think you just did it and you may want to be seeking forgiveness for what you did. I pray that He works in your heart and brings you to faith in Him. I am sure the Apostle Paul had vile things to say about Jesus when he was persecuting the church, so my prayer is that you could become a modern day Paul going to tell people the Truth about Jesus and stop degrading His precious name.

"the door" is in reference that when God gives you a door to open you achieve the next level of faith.

Accepting Jesus, being Jewish then Christian, was the next level of faith for them.
