They have lice and I don't wanna get infected. I've done all I could to convince them to clean their hair, but they just don't care.

If you don't want to catch them, it is a GREAT idea!
btw, they don't have to come to your house for you to get them. Just being near your friends, can give you their lice. Been there with my kids and it is NOT fun. Honestly... I don't know how they can stand having lice and doing nothing about it. Makes my head itch just thinking about it. It is also a health hazard!

Nofret, definitely do NOT let them visit, and don't visit them at their homes, either. Lice can cause immense challenges to get rid of once they have found a home in your house. If you had to do that much work, you would never forgive yourself. Your friends will be kicking themselves fairly soon, too. They are probably embarrassed about others mentioning it, but embarrassed or not, the lice will soon be teaching your friends to take good advice when it's given.

my god lice usually drive people crazy with the itching!! i cannot understand how they dont care and are not doing anything to get rid of them!
yes i would avoid them too. but if your are in school or go out together you can still get them. and keep in mind that lice prefer clean hair to dirty and greasy hair! i would use a special shampoo to prevent them getting in my hair.

it is a good idea...the lice will get into all ur furniture and carpets and most definately you .... and even if u get rid of them out of your hair when your friends who dont have lice come over they'll get em from ur furniture and carpets and blame you

They obviously have no regard for their own personal hygiene, so definitely couldn't care less if they passed it on to you. To avoid the problem of getting infected (and from personal experience its not a pleasant experience) and having to fine comb and disinfect every item of clothing,carpeting,bedding and linen, just don't have them visit you until they deem it necessary to attend to basic hygiene.

i myself was facing this problem previously. Well, according to me, there is no problem if they come to ur house. just avoid ur hair's contact with their hair.
