Myoma uteri or uterine myoma is a growth or growths on the uterine muscle. These growths are hard. Uterine myoma is never seen under the age of 20 and the chances of developing the condition increases with age. As the myoma grows, cramps and menstrual bleeding will increase.

Myoma will not interfere with an existing pregnancy but it can cause infertility. If it causes infertility it can be removed (a myomectomy) and usually the woman will then conceive.
