The most negative aspect about sex? That people view it as simply a bodily need, a physical hunger that can and should be satiated as and when we please; when we dont give value anymore to sex and love. This shows that we may not understand enough of our own bodies and mind that we not show love to ourselves enough to understand the true meaning of sex.
It is not just simply a physical act. It is also an act of deep communication; it builds relationships and ties that physical or verbals words cannot describe, ties that bind and cannot be broken easily.
People/Communities CAN consider sex a religion, but that isnt a right thing to do as a religion denotes something worshipped, it includes religious activities...and if sex becomes a religion...man, then we would have really lost the original value of sex. Hope this helps =p

The most negative aspect about sex is social and cultural attitudes about sex in North America including abstience classes given by religious groups.
Sexuality shouldn't be something that is repressed or used as a form of social control. Young women should not be taught that sex is an 'emotional bond' for them while men have sex because it feels good. Young women should not be called names for enjoying an physical pleasures of sex. The orgasm shouldn't be considered the be all and end all of sex. Masturbation and sex should not be considered 'icky' or 'gross'. Pornography should be accepted for what it is instead of warping minds because of our repressed culture and on and on...
No, sex is not a religion. Sex is something that two or more people should freely enjoy together in an enviroment of mutural respect and expression. If people were to respect themselves and others even sexually trasnmitted infections wouldn't be such a problem with or without marriage.

While there can be negative practical consequences to sex such as unwanted pregnancies and the transmission of infections, the major negative effects derive from the fact that sexual transactions are intimately connected with the psychology of power.
When it works well, the empowering is mutual, but sex is also a domain where people can play out abuse as well.
This has to be the central consideration in considering the morality of sexuality.
Like sex, religion can be genuinely empowering and can expand our humanness. It can also be a domain for power games, too.
Sex and religion often seem to be in conflict because they both compete for attention from humans desiring transcendence.

There is no negativity in sex, if practice judiciously. It is a human activity, but if we exercise sex like animals, then it is the negative aspect. If a male treat female as sex object and not human, this is negative. If a female use her sexuality for vested interest, it is wrong.
Sex is nothing to do with religio. It is is just a beautiful gift from God to enjoy and reproduction.

Rape is the most negative aspect & sex can't be considered as religion, but a "natural" act.

The most negative aspect is that it can be used against people, like a weapon. Sex is not a religion, sex is an act.

Desire to enjoy sex at one's whim without caring the assent and active participation of the partner is negative aspect. Sex is not religion but right, appropriate sex at appropriate time when the mind and body are satisfied and calmed down, can make one to think of religion patiently.

The most negative aspect is that it does get treated as a religion instead of the great gift from God that it is.
It was created for the bonding of husband and wife but as with so many other things has become the focus of worship instead of the one who created it.
Romans 1
24 Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. 25 They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.
26 Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27 In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.

Some cultures worshipped sex. The Kama Sutra isn't just a sex book, it's a culture. Their temples had statues of sex, even.
