Some catholics claiming that their religion is the right one.

First off. Christianity is a Religion, Catholic is a denomination, As is lutheran, Methodist etc.

There are not Contradictory teachings. As a matter of fact the only major difference between Catholics and Protestant is that Catholics believe that communion is the Blood and body of Christ whereas the Protestant believes it is ment to be symbolic. I Challenge catholics to name one other difference in church teachings. So how is yours the only right one again?

umm.. Belief in the immaculate conception is not limited to just Catholics.

Catholics are not the only one with Doctrine.

The Sacraments are not really a big difference in the Denominations. We all have confrimation, we all have Baptism, We all have Communion, we all have Marriage. We have ordained clergy, now as far as the last rights go. That isnt an ideal secluded to just catholics either.

All of us Christians think we are right , Don't worry what others say. Grab your bible ,study hard and pray to god to let you know if your on the right track or not.

I have though about my answer here and it sounds like i am saying i know better than others. What i meant was myself included, to reaffirm our belief is correct we should all question our own beliefs

Actually, the concept of the sacrament of baptism and holy communion as real vs. symbolic is a VERY big deal. In the Lutheran church we also teach that these things are real and not merely symbolic, which is a contradiction to scripture. They are gifts from God, not things that men do to please God. That is a huge doctrinal difference. There is a reason why LCMS Lutheran churches have close communion... we don't want someone who believes that the bread and wine are just symbols communing with us, because that goes against our teachings and the bible.

Believe it or not, Luther's whole reason for the 95 Theses and the Reformation was not to break away, but to reform the Catholic church. I am much more comfortable talking and discussing theology with Catholics than with most protestants! I think most Catholics would even agree that we Lutherans have it closer to right in their eyes than most other protestant denominations, just as we feel the same about them.

Let's see, what other differences...
Infant baptism
Ordained ministers of the Word (have gone through university and seminary, not just decided to start preaching because they wanted to)

Add to that some of the Lutheran doctrine, which goes much protestant theology:
Infant Baptism
Ordained ministers of the Word (see above)
Sola Scriptura
Sola Fide
NOT once saved, always saved

So, sorry..... there are differences and we all think we are the right one.

*Is Catholic*

No sorry. That is not what a denomination is. Catholicism and Christianity are synonyms. If you are Protestant, you are of a practice that protests some aspect of the universal faith in Christ. Protestantism is then broken down into denominations.

Different Understandings.
1. Protestants have no full sacramental theology.
2. Protestants have no priesthood.
3. Protestants believe differently about salvation/justification.
4. Protestants do not believe that Tradition is revelation.

Catholicism is the right one because it practices the faith of the Apostles and Protestant's donen't.

I think the major difference between them is the way they praise the God.
Catholic pray to Mary and other Saints,
Protestant only pray to Jesus
Catholic allow repent sin to Pastor,
Protestant direct to Jesus
Catholic allow statue in a church,
protentant dont allow
Catholic belief that the Pope is God's representative in the earth
protestant place all the pastor and the priest the same as folks

Catholics believe in the immaculate conception. Catholics believe in doctrine. Catholics have seven sacraments, while other Christian denominations have fewer.

There are other differences, I was taught a bunch when I was around 12. Just because you aren't aware of them doesn't make them nonexistent. Catholicism was the original Christian religion, from which the other churches broke off, in the reformation.

Well first, the popes blasphemy proclaim that they "take the place of God Almighty upon the earth."

They then say that their church is the only true church and that all others are doomed to hell.

Now fancy that!

BTW do you know what the word "catholic" means? It means "cosmopolitan, or broad-minded." Look it up. Does that sound like the Christian way?

look...me...defending the catholic church...its a miracle!!
they pray to intercessors, most protestants dont.
thats just one.
they think peter was the first pope...protestants dont. i say james..being the first bishop and all.and leader of the church in jeruselem.
thats two.
you my friend dont seem to know much about this subject.
the bible says "one lord, one faith, one baptism"
catholics seem to think that excludes protestants somehow....still waiting for an explanation to this one.but still..theres a difference.
and many more doctrinal issues.

If you can't think of any other differences between Catholics and Protestants, then you must not know much about them. Here is one of the most glaring differences:

Catholics believe that salvation is attained through faith and works. Protestants generally believe that salvation is attained through faith alone.

If God only cares about whether or not you worship him and not about how you treat others in life, then God is evil. The doctrine Protestants follow is irrational and dangerous to society.

The key difference between Catholicism and Protestantism is that the latter lets you get divorced.... while the former does not.

And if you're not entirely sure... go to wikipedia and look up Henry VIII.

im christian-catholic raised... i believe that almost all religions are correct in some ways, yet wrong in other ways... to say that all animal were created the way they are today is assinine... to say that all animals evolved from something is assinine... some animals were created, and animals evolved from those animals, on, and on making them better.
