I have bi polar and I am wide awake, I live in Kentucky. Normally I sleep like a baby. I take lithium and wellbutrin. I am up like a night owl because for the past three weeks I have been on steroids for a problem with my eye, I lost a lot of vision in my left eye because my optic nerve is swelled up, and the steroids are supposed to help with the swelling, so far they haven't helped. Side effect of steroids is lots of energy and not being able to sleep. My eye doctor told me if I wasn't on lithium I would be manic everyday, and I have actually had some characteristics, like not needing sleep. pressured speech, fast speech, anger. I'm coping. My psychiatrist is not concerned so neither am I.

I'm bipolar and wide awake, but that's only because I work the graveyard shift. My doctor doesn't think it's a good for me, and I'm starting to agree, but I've grown to like aspects of it, too.

Yeah I was probably awake when you posted this question. I had trouble sleeping and I take sleeping pills. Everyone here had trouble sleeping last night for some reason. Maybe it is the weather lol.

kinda yeh im tired but i cant go to sleep and it isnt middle of night its 9:20 am here in england.....ughhhh lol i just feel weird all the time
try drinkn sum milk and readin some pages of a book then write down al ur feelins and do sum drawings then lay in bed with the light off and stare at something (small detail) keepin ur eyes wide open and the wil start to feel heavy then u will sleep wen they close....always works!!

i donno what bipolar means.. but i only sleep around 3 hours a day from 8-11 am. always awake in other words. it SUCKS
