These are caliber specific. so if you are using a 44, us 45 pellets (as the bore is 451,454 or 457 depending on make) just make sure that this does not put you over the max recommended load.

Pyrodex pellets, or Triple Seven for that matter, can be used in a black powder pistol as long as you don't overload it and you can use a 209 primer. Both have 30 grains pellets. If you really want to try either you could think of using their powder instead of pellets.

I've never tried it, but they should work. Buy the 30 grain pellets. I have used the 50 grain pellets in my rilfe (2 at a time for a total of 100 grains) and I use nuber 11 caps. I haven't had a single problem with them igniting. For a pistol, you would normally use a nuber 10 cap which has a little less fire. So there may be a miss fire. But hey, that is what a shooting range is for. Give them a try and let us know how they worked for you.

BP pistols do not need a lot of powder to shoot, usually 25-30 grains max. I believe pellets are 50 grains ea. You can do the math.

I can't see why not. As long as you keep down to the 30 gr one and the correct caliber. It would be a good idea to put a wax wad or a vegetable wad over the pellet for flash over protection and I would also put crisco over the bullet. I tend to be cautious with explosives.

No.
Use either Pyrodex Cartridge grade, or better yet, use real blackpowder.
