"Think of how many religions attempt to validate themselves with prophecy. Think of how many people rely on these prophecies, however vague, however unfulfilled, to support or prop up their beliefs. All religions are equally false, though some are more dangerous than others.

The way that religions come up with their facts is so bad that the answers that come out of religion are pretty much guaranteed to be wrong, and not just wrong in the "good approximation" sense that scientific theories tend to be wrong but wrong in the "not even close to reality" sense.

not so.
Although all religions are based on fiction or superstition, assuming there is or are some Gods in charge, they all contain some codes of behavior which are generally correct, from a social point of view.
So It can be stated that most religions are socially beneficial, with a flair of superstition to make it all more respectful in the eyes of ignorants.
