Samsung has a good DivX player in most of their lineup, and the price is extremely reasonable. I think two models even have DivX in the surround sound systems.

Don't know about Ultra DivX.

I like the Oppo and own one, it is the best, but at 185 it is big cash for a DVD player now, it also does a lot of cool stuff like SACD, DVD-A and has the best chip you can buy

in another room I have a Pioneer that does all, with out the SACD and DVD-A, but works very well

I like the Pioneer more then the others becuase of the build on it, it felt better and the remote was better

the explanation why your divx participant performs in straight forward terms sounds on some documents is because of the fact it cant "study" the video codec of those documents.."convert" those avi documents lower back to avi utilising divx converter.. wish this help
