I was with this guy tonight and I had an extreme orgasm and this liquid just gushed out of me. He was freaked out. It wasn't urine. What was it? Is this squirting? What causes it? Can I control it?

It wasn't like lubricating fluid, it SHOT out of me for like 3 or 4 feet!

Sure sounds like it. Authorities don't agree on what the fluid is but women it happens to agree it's not urine. It's caused by intense orgasms, as you discovered. Yes, you can learn to control it.

No it wasn't urine, it was a Female ejaculation
Okay, the reasoning behind this "phenomenon" is still considered debatable but at the same time, it's almost written in stone:

Females who can ejaculate are usually the ones who have a g-spot (this is kind of similar in the sense that not all women have hymen's and bleed after the first intercourse) however, it has been found that stimulation of the clitoris alone can cause ejaculaion. The g-spot (aka: urethral sponge) is basically nerves that are bundled up and can be located on the anterior wall of the vagina. This can be felt and located by sticking a finger inside and creating the "come here" motion.

Females with this g-spot also have the Skene's gland in the same area which carries fluid that contain the some of the same substances found in semen (remember no sperm)and not urine. This makes the gland very similar to the male's prostate (despite it's very small dot-like size) which helps create the ejaculation during climax. On the streets, it is called "squirting", or "gushing". An orgasm can be achieved without "gushing" however, science hasn't exactly solidified woman's new ejaculatory system and therefore hasn't found a way for a female stop it.

However, in my opinion, you should try the Kegel exercise which might help decrease the amount of ejaculation or even prevent it from occuring. This is easiest when sitting up and contracting the muscles in the vaginal area (pelvic floor).

Yes, welcome to the exciting world of female ejaculation.

It's just a part of the process of having really intense orgasms; your guy shouldn't be too freaked out, once you explain to him what happened. Still, if he is, there are plenty of other guys who will be happy to give you 'gushers' in the future. =)

Congratulations!
