Have you ever performed the Hajj? If so, can you tell me your experiences during the Hajj season? What part of Hajj impressed you the most?

Insya Allah, I will be going for the Hajj this year. I am excited, and I would like to hear from those who already went for the Hajj.
I require advice from my brothers and sisters here!

Oh, and please star this, and feel free to remove it after an hour. I just like many answers, probably that's why I ask people to star each time I ask a question. lol.

May Allah S.W.T guide us all..

Two times,
with my family (second time with mother in addition), Alhamdulillah,
with the gape of 5 years in both Hajj's.

Performing Hajj is the greatest task in ones life, alhamdulillah, this opportunity is available to Muslims only, by the blessings and mercies of Allah swt. for this worldly life and hereafter.
May Allah All Mighty bless this opportunity to all of us, aameen.

Hajj purifies our body, soul and Emaan (faith), for me it is just like looking Allah swt. by your own eyes, because one comes across limitless signs of Allah, at every single step in the way of Hajj.

Hajj is summery of the life of a true Muslim, the complete life span of a true Muslim is got composed in 5 days, that's why a man gets purified of entire set of his sins, and evils of past life.

For me the most impressive element in Hajj is "the practical representation of the teachings of Islam in every single person, individually, over there".
Young women and men, mixed to gather in such a way, even a single moment never comes in front of you, that someone has any feeling of sex within two opposite sexes. I think this is the miracle of Islam, not possible in any other gathering all over the world, where joint mass of public, gathers with both male and females together.

I HAVE LEARNT THE MEANING OF LIFE DURING HAJJ.

Appreciate your concern about Hajj but You seems to be more excited about Star than Hajj!

May God approve your wishes soon!

What about our non-muslim friends here who know nothing about Kaaba - except a Black Box in Mecca? This concept of Holy Kaaba is being given since centuries??

Don't you think we should tell them the Religious and historical
importance of Kaaba before posting such sentimental expressions?

Hope you would do the same for a broader impect on Q&A readers of all faiths.

Peace & Blessings!

Alhamdu lillah you are leaving for the Hajj. I've not been on even the umrah, but can understand your excitement. There'll be a lot of things to read and do if I am there I am sure.

If you are in a tight physical situation, like there's no room to solah or you wanna kiss the Black Stone Hajar Aswad, try reading the ayat from Surah al-Thalaq "Wa man yattaqillahi yaj al lahu makhraja...qad ja alallahu 'li kulli syai'in qadra" insyaAllah space will open up for you.

Also, read a lot of salawat/durud to Rasulullah when in Madinah. If you know qasidahs/nasyids/mawlid you can read there of course with a low voice or better silently. Try to be discreet too cos the Wahhabi guards are against such mawlids and qasidahs.

When in wuquf you can read Surah Al-Ikhlas 1000 times with Basmalah at one sitting may take a novice 45 min. Read 70,000 times it is said it can be a form of salvation (shafaah) to a Muslim.

Being in Saudi Arab for sacred tour of hajj is always a great experience for everyone and all the muslims wish to go for this precious tour. I have never been there but it is my desire to go for ASAP. Those who have experienced this says it was the greatest tour and those moments were more worthy than anything.

Assallam mu alaikom.

Alhamdullilah. May Allah swt provide U with Haji Mabrur, Ameen.
Performing Haj is the climax of Ibadah. During my Haj in 2005, the most exciting moment was when we were camping at Arafah.
Almost everyone of us cried shamelessly. No word could explain why it happened. But, for some reason, at that moment I felt grateful that Allah swt had invited me to gather with all the ulama' and pious ppl performing prayer, tawaf, Sa'ei and Zikrullah.
I felt Allah swt had never hated us despite our ignorant and laziness. Allah swt still rewarded us and called us to perform the Haj which only the selected ppl are invited to perform the Haj. I am grateful that I was chosen among the billions who was being selected and invited by Allah swt to the mass gathering of Haj.
As such, I felt very remorseful for being ignorant and lazy. Deep in my heart, I begged for forgiveness from Allah swt. Coincidentally, my beloved ustaz ( religious Leader ) recited the Taubat Zikrullah aloud together with all other pilgrimage ( Astaghfirullah... Rabbal baraaya...Astaghfirullah.. Minalhataaya..). My tears role down my cheek uncontrollably. I was unable to recite the Zikrullah with them at that time. I felt very remorseful and regretted my past wrong doings. May Allah swt forgive me and forgive all the Muslimin and Muslimah. Ameen Ya Rabbal Alameen.

Wabillahi Taufiq Wal Hodayat,
Wassallam mu alaikom Warah matullah hi Ta'ala hi Wabarta katuh.
