40% disabled according to whom? I know that the VA's determination of disability is no hinderance to going Guard or Reserve. After all, you're really in no different condition than you were at the end of your term of active duty and they had no problem with using you.

The great thing about the military is that everything is waiverable. My buddy was medically retired from the army for messing his knee up on a jump. 2 yrs later he decides to join the military again and they waive everything and let him join :) despite what alot of these people say you can get just about anything waived and join the military...

Hon, not likely because a 40% disability rating would preclude your doing most of the physical things that you need to do, or if your disability is PTSD it totally precludes your being able to handle a military job.

Yes you can, however the VA will deduct however many days you drill from your VA pay.

No you would have to go back and get your renlistment code changed from RER4 to RER1
