So I pose a question 10 minutes prior imitating a typical uneducated Christian (many are highly intelligent of course) and I get close to 30 angry replies and counting!
An intelligent individual would not waste time constantly refuting the same garbage. 1000 people are going to say the same thing tomorrow. What significance is there in pointing out the obvious to someone who cannot and probably will not see it?
And also, I've posted many questions and answered hundreds of questions from the atheist perspective. Not one person recognised me or was skeptical or expressed any doubt in the authenticity of the question. I pulled out every foolish view in the book.
Perhaps seeing someone raise childlike views is what you hunger for, so you can stomp them into the ground? Pure egotism isn't it? And of what price in time? Of what value is it because as I said previously, they'll always be more to take their place.
An endless chore with no benefit. It does indulge arrogance though.

Craig R..bravo, bravo..
Because I pose a question to others it means I cant understand the very clear answer?
And look how your flawed little witticism gets a multitude of approval from the others.
I'm walking away from the open sewer that is Yahoo answers.

Aurora dawn: "I guess you just want atheists to go away, is this your strategy? If you haven't noticed, this is a question and answer forum. What you are saying here seems to be that we shouldn't answer any of their questions.

I think we should consider the calibre of the question first of all and consider if its worthy of answering. I would contend that heaping vitriol upon childish views is counterproductive.
Dont put words in my mouth please.

Apparently you don't see the futility, as you posted this question.

I get a sort of an enjoyment out of it when I'm on here. That's probably why I continue being involved in those arguements.

I avoid putting others down and always take into consideration both sides of the story. I also try not to push my beliefs, but rather give facts and ask them to consider.

I only share my ideas when I know what I'm talking about and if I don't, I usually stay quiet or give my 2 cents worth while stating that I don't know exactly what I'm talking about.

Sometimes it works and that gives me the most enjoyment. It's not completely pointless and if we keep on building up those small changes we might actually be able to make an impact.

It's endless only because you think it.

Well, not only have I wasted my time answer truly ignorant Christians questions posed to atheists, but now I find out that my time was also wasted answering your bogus ignorant Christian questions. I guess you just want atheists to go away, is this your strategy? If you haven't noticed, this is a question and answer forum. What you are saying here seems to be that we shouldn't answer any of their questions. Then what is the point of this place? Speaking of egotism...what would you call what you did here?

atheist

EDIT: Actually, I DO consider the calibre of the question before I answer, tyvm.

I guess I keep replying to questions because I'm not paying a whole lot of attention if it's the same person or not.

And if it's not the same person, and their not going through and reading all the other similiar questions, only looking at the answers here, I want to contribute to their quest for knowledge/understanding.

Not only that, why would I assume you're lying? I just take the question for what it's worth and try and answer it on the level it was given if I answer.

If an atheist posts something typically atheist, all (christians, atheists, and others) will respond.
If a Christian posts something typically Christian, all (christians, atheists, and others) will respond.

People protect their own viewpoints, and attempt to "stomp into the ground" all others (as you so adequately put).

If this was a site where intelligence was a factor, these things would matter. However, we are online. Intelligence is not so important as how fast you can type, how large and bold your font, and how silly you can make your opponent sound by your strawman arguments.

I am with you, friend. Good luck swimming through the masses to find what you seek.

that's available that those issues exist and serve no function of application. As colour and gentle-weight serve no objective for the blind guy, yet is there any reason to suspect that's the case? All i've got met with place self belief in wishful questioning and absurdity, and people who see appreciate an benefit over the blind who won't be able to journey the gentle that manifests of their each and every action. people who save on with Buddha's teachings appreciate no such obtrusive benefit.

I have also noticed that many don't even read the question correctly, so walking away may save your sanity unless the trade off is to deal with the idiots live. Now wouldn't that take the cake, giving up being the virtual voice of sanity, only to become that crazy old man down the block.

I think I know the feeling but time alone is too short for some and the dismay attached to those is only as regretfull as one allows . Try to keep in mind for all that don't see many others are supported and a few eroded fallacies are left in the process .

it actually doesn't take that long to reply (and i think mine was one of the longer replies). if this stuff is not challenged it will come back twice as strong next time. if you think it's futile, no one is forcing you to do it. the trouble is, although you pulled out all the stops, there are people who are genuinely just as confused as you seemed to be. you simply cannot parody this stuff, as you found out. afterwards i checked your previous answers and decided you were probably not serious. if anyone was wasting time here, it was you.

so yeah, maybe i'm arrogant. i think i'm right, and i'm willing to say so. if that's arrogance, ok, guilty.

Dear rogavit, I am not an atheist I am an agnostic and used to be a christian. You are being very judgmental and the opposite of what Jesus taught.
You are one of the reasons why I am no longer a christian, your hypocrisy knows no bounds.

i don't claim to be arrogantly intelligent, but i do enjoy a good debate. i look at it like this, even though R &S on YA is really just for entertainment, perhaps i can plant a seed in someones heart/mind about the truth of God's Word. Yeah, most of what i say will fall by the wayside, but maybe, just maybe, one little seed of truth will take root and grow in just one other person. i don't want to save anyone, but i can lead them to the One who can. and you are right, it is endless, at least until Christ returns.
