Exactly hon. How is it possible for someone to know everything about everything in the Universe. I've noticed that atheists think they're the most intelligent people in the world and that everyone else is lower than them in intelligence. Atheists should cool it with their i'm smarter than everyone routine cause its rude

No I think there are plenty of smarter people right here on this planet. I make no assumptions about life on other planets. However, they might be wise enough to create "a" universe but not "this" universe as they are in it. You sort of have to be outside it to create it. Which by definition means supernatural.
edit: oh, wait, alternate universes. You throw that out so casually but again it would point to the supernatural, unless they created it but never interacted with it again.
One other stumble block you've just created is "who or what made those older, wiser beings"? Is it an infinite progression of older and wiser beings?
And really, if the universe was created, whoever did it loves vacuum, helium, and black holes. Check out what some 95% of the universe consists of.

I'm not arrogant enough to think I am the most intelligent person in the room, let alone the universe. That said, I don't see what the possibility of greater intelligence elsewhere in the universe has to do with the existence or not of a god.
I think the greater arrogance is the belief that humans are the ultimate creation in the universe, designed in the image of the universe's creator.

No. I don't think I'm the most intelligent creature in the entire universe. Apparently you do. You know better than all atheists how the universe came to be. We simply believe that there are no supernatural, invisible, magical, omniscient, omnipotent, all-seeing, jealous and attention-hogging, worship demanding, vengeful, eternally punishing gods. You, on the other hand, believe that an invisible man lives in the sky, who watches over us, answers prayers, demands total worship and devotion or you will burn forever in hell......and he loves you. Now which one of these things sounds like the more intelligent choice. I'll leave that up to you. I wouldn't want to seem rude by simply answering your arrogant question.

According to Buddha every individual is a great possibility.
In the ocean of life every creature is like a wave , a vortex which is moving as long as its energy remains. Its energy is its desire to exist , to hold on to its individuality and to enjoy pleasures of the world. When this energy(of desires) is removed , the wave (or vortex) would merge with the ocean and then it will exist as a new identity ,
the all encompassing ocean.
Not just a small wave.
Buddha says -- Forsake all the desire, nothing belongs to you , neither body, mind, emotions, thoughts, soul, wealth, nothing. Say to yourself - I dont exist, I have no soul, I have nothing and work towards removing all desires by not enjoying anything.
This is the path of dissolution of personality to nirvana (salvation).

I'm sure there are infinite possibilities when it comes to intelligence in the universe or any other universes if any. At this point no one can know.
I suggest you direct this towards scientists instead. I'm sure some atheists are experts on this subject, but not all of us are unlike physicists, astrologists, etc.

what does the universe and intelligence have to do with the price of eggs in china? when space people come into my kitchen and show me how to make a better omelet I'll buy into your argument but for now it doesn't take as much intelligence as your flattery to realize Christians live in a fantasy world contrived by religious leaders of old.

Probably not, but there's no way to know at this time. There is no evidence of alternate universes, and if there is one that contains a being capable of creating this one, that refutes God.

are you Christian? if so, then you are kind of disproving Chrisitanity. After all, aren't humans supposed to be 'perfect' and if there are even more intelligent life forms, then that obviously disproves the existence of your god.
And, personally, i believe that there may be intelligent life out there, maybe even more intelligent than ourselves, and if so, then cool!!! =)
edit: oh riiiiight. Your talking about GOD not ALIENS. i geddit.
well, i like aliens better.

yes i keep that option open. i have never said there is no such thing as life on some other planet merely because we havent found it. the universe is big and very old. life has most likely formed elsewhere far, far, far, far away though.

If you are asking this question, you must have some doubts about your own intelligence as a believer in a god.
