I used to be an atheist before but thankfully not now, 100 % believer now and the atheists here that have not converted yet are only here for one reason, to learn more about God because they are fence sitters still not sure if they want to jump in. REAL atheists like I used to be would never hang out in a place such as this that is full of religion. in their questions and answers they will deny it but that is only so their friends that see their questions an answers will not make fun of them.they will put up a very strong anti-God front but a front is all it really is.....100 % here are secretly fence sitters,..no true atheists here so keep preaching, they really do want to hear it.....HOWEVER if you see violations of yahoo guidelines please report 100% of the abuses, they can sit on the fence but only decently !

I'm not athiest, but I do enjoy aggravating Christians on the internet. It's a source of amusement. I also enjoy watching televangelists. It's better than any sitcom! It's really only the fundamentalists that amuse me.

Offline though, it's very rare that I would aggravate a Christian because most Christians I know offline have at least some sense. Of course, if I happen to run into an abortion protest or some other crazed hate group, I'm not afraid to have a laugh, but in person, it's not so obvious I'm laughing at them. I pretend to be interested. You never know what an unstable and hateful person would do. I think most of those types should be locked up and fed anti-psychotics until they are well again.

I just asked a bunch of Atheists a question, and I asked a bunch of Christians a question.

The Christians seemed pretty run of the mill and surprisingly non- judgemental.

The Atheists insisted I needed education and that I was close minded. They seemed to feel superior for some reason, but my question was out of genuine curiosity and wasn't demeaning in anyway. ("If Atheists are so resistant to religion and God, why do they hang out in R&S so much?") I honestly thought they sat around discussing Darwin or something, maybe delved into the science categories or something. But most of them were jugemental and rude.

Now I'm not a real big fan of fundementalists or born agains, but next to this group I was dealing with, they looked pretty good!

Atheist fundumentalism? Is it around the corner? *gasp*

Maybe atheists are sick of being insulted and slandered by fundamentalist "christians" because they think critically about religion.

Maybe because these false christians don't follow the teachings of Jesus. Read the Gospels and Acts carefully, and if you're intellectually honest, you'll understand their obvious hypocracy.

Maybe because reasonable Americans are sick of phony creationist charlatians are trying to shove there false science down the throats of our children.

If you'd like to debate an intelligent happy skeptic, we can chat some time in the future. I'll be around.

One good turn deserves another besides christians started it with their whole salvation, saving blah blah bit. I bet if we choose to go to hell that would aggravate christians because anything would rattle their cages. Had christians just keep their beliefs to themselves or wait for people to ask them about their beliefs wouldn't be any aggravation you are crying about. I don't think atheists asked to be saved if they did they would go to the same place where people come from thinking they know god, have a personal relationship and even swear the bible is telling the truth because they had been feed lines and stories never wanting to do the job of reading for themselves. That's right the house of brainwashing the non taxed homes call churches.

I'm amused by your smug implication that all atheists live in a state of misery. I'm not sure where that stereotype comes from; nearly all of the atheists that I know are happy, intelligent, and creative people.

As for why atheists aggravate Christians, I'm not sure. Maybe it's because so many Christians are bothered by logic and rationality.

Most atheists don't wish to aggravate Christians. Most atheists enjoy their freedom of religion, and realized that respecting other's beliefs and rights are important.

Marxists, on the other hand, believe Christians should be eliminated.

Atheists enjoy aggravating Christians in that they think Christians are ignorant to the truth.
Conversely, Christians aggravate Atheists for the same reason.

Christians allow themselves to be aggravated because they feel it is the stupid kid saying, "You believe 2+2=4?! You ignorant bastard! It's 8, and everyone knows that!"
Again, Atheists likely feel the same way.

I'm a Christian and as long as atheists don't mock my religion.... i have nothing against them. Plain and simple. And the last reason i would be in misery would be because of my religion... if anything... that takes me out of my misery...

first i am a christian. i would think it would be the same reason why i would mess with my brothers. just because it is fun too. and so many christians react to it. if i messed with my brothers and they did not react it was not fun but when they would react it was so much fun. and it goes both ways too because i have seen many christians do things to people who dont believe or to people who are dont believe the same way they do. like myself i am apostolic pentecostal. and i get so many trying to tell me i am wrong or my church is or whatever because we do this or that. funny thing is i just ask them to show me were in the Bible it is wrong. first they useally have to come back another day because they dont have a Bible or they dont come back at all. however i will show them later like at lunch time were the Bible backs me up. with my Bible. but i also see many say well you are going to hell or what not. and i know many christians again who say or do things to non christians as well. so it goes both ways.

I'm not aggravated by atheists.
I appreciate their honesty and the fact that they are a lot more open-minded and tolerant than a lot of theists I know.
