Now I've had piano lessons when i was in 5th and 6th grade. Well I'm 18 now and I've almost completely forgotten it all and want to get back into piano. Maybe it might come back to me once i get into piano lessons again, I'm not sure. But I also want to take guitar lessons at the same time because I've always had a profound interest in guitar as well. I want to sign up for a once-a-week piano class at the local community college at my town and also do once-a-week private guitar lessons.
Do you think it's a good idea to learn those two at once?

Yes, I think it's a great idea to learn piano as well as guitar. The piano is the theoretical basis for all other instruments, and the better you understand piano, the better you will understand guitar, or any other instrument. After a while, you will remember what you did before and it will make sense. Also, I think the once a week piano class at the local community college is a great way to get back into piano. Good luck!

I have to disagree with the other answerer cos I give private guitar lessons. To answer ur question. U'll remember from when u had lessons before, the amount of practice time u needed. Have u got enough spare time to be able to practise enough on both instruments. ? If u have, then go for it. It will broaden ur musical experience and u never know when either will come in useful. I wish u all the best. Hope this helps
