I have been a single dad for 14 years, and literally stayed single all these years. I agree with you whole heartedly, and I would rather hold hands with a woman all day than have meaningless sex with her. The fact that a woman cared enough about me to hold hands with me would be worth all the meaningless sex in the world. ( Sorry for sounding so corny)

Sex without emotions and mutual respect is "commercial lust"!
Emotional bonding, and mutual respect and trust leading to an intimacy that may include love making is truly great!

There are many - just don't be too desperate - don't give away the farm until somebody is ready to pay - in commitment, love and a marriage certificate.
