You need to train her and always remind her that she is to STAY when the door is opened. Dogs can have a mind of their own if given the opportunity.

The best advice is whenever someone comes to the door is make her stay. That way she knows her place and what she is suppose to do.

ALL dogs need to be trained with obedience classes, pit bulls included. That's the only way to have a dog that listens to you and considers itself part of your 'pack'. There are often free dog training classes around any city. If you can't find any and don't want to pay the small fee that the animal shelter charges to run the classes, at least get a book on basic dog training out of the library and start that way. Puppies learn quickly. You have to practice with them for 15 minutes a day twice a day.
