It's amazing how many bad answers you've got to your question! I could only see three sincere answers. People should be ashamed not paying more attention to other people's concerns.
Unfortunately, global warming cannot be eliminated. Even if we managed to keep the CO2 level in our atmosphere constant from this day there would still be a 0.5 C raise in the pipeline due to the slow response from our oceans.
Personally, I do what I can in my life to live as environmental friendly as possible and I also try to let other people see my initiatives. I've noticed that this creates interests and people not previously interested in this issue starts to follow and copy some of my behaviors when they see that it's not so hard to do. Most importantly I think is to elect the leaders that are willing to work hard for the environment.

Any hotter than normal? I have been to the Pilippines a number of times and it was alway hot and humid, just as you would suspect on a tropical island.
Jello, they do not have summer in the Pilippines, like all tropical regions they have only two seasons rainy and dry. In the rainy season it is hot and very humid. In the dry season it is hot and somwhat humid, also dusty in many locations.

If your question is implying that global warming is causing the heat in the Philippines then you are wrong. It is generally hot in the Philippines, with an average temperature of about 80 degrees. Now, if you weren't implying that global warming causes the heat in the Philippines then there was no reason to mention that it's hot there since that has nothing to do with the actual question that you asked.

This is the answer that nobody likes to hear-population control. The only practical way to accomplish this is by conscious consensus. That means all the peoples of Earth would have to voluntarily participate by having smaller families. Oh well! On to the next episode!

It never got hot in the Philippines in summer ever before? This is the first time it got hot in the summer?
Hmmmmm...... I'll bet it is just as hot as other years, in fact I'll bet it was hotter in past years, this year isn't much different.
I guess I'll just drive my SUV to the mountains this weekend and have fun 4x4'n in the national forest. Thanks for the idea!

I'm as energy efficient as possible. I use CFLs, energy efficient appliances, turn my thermostat up in the summer and down in the winter, bike to work, drive a Prius, etc. etc.
Most importantly, I support politicians who make the environment a top priority. We need our governments to take the lead in reducing our greenhouse gas emissions to prevent the worst consequences of global climate change.
