He's dreaming. It's completely normal for all dogs. My dog even woofs and whines in his sleep.
I don't suggest waking him from his dream, but if you need to move him or accidentally bump him, I really doubt that he'll snap. I've never known a dog to wake from a dream and bite. Is he snappy when he's awake? If he was a little snappy and unpredictable while awake, I might be wary of him when he's asleep. Otherwise, it's likely no big deal.

Very usual!! My dogs do that as well! It's just them dreaming. The breed doesn't matter, my dog is a yorkie/shitzu mix, and the other is a retriever/lab mix! Depending on the dog, he might or might not bite. If he's usually grouchy or easily spooked, then there's a possibility he might bite. My dogs are sweet, and have never bitten me if I wake them up from their dreams. Believe it or not, most humans do that kind of thing while they're sleeping as well! There's nothing to worry about hun. Have fun!

Your dog is FINE ... probably dreaming, or in whatever stage of sleep equates to the dreaming stage in humans. Both of my dogs do that ... and sometimes they even yip or bark at the same time! It seems to be a pretty deep sleep they're in when this happens (after they've been sleeping for awhile) so it's probably best not to disturb your dog. Hope this helps.

This is totally normal. Your dog is dreaming. Probably chasing a cat or a rabbit through a field. Don't worry about it. Most dogs do it.

Every time I've even seen my dogs doing this I've wondered what they are dreaming..because that's what they are doing. Sometimes I imagine they are dreaming about chasing a squirrel or maybe running with the others. But it never fails to make me smile...

Completely normal. I have 4 dogs and they all do this. Sometimes they let out a whimper or a little bark too. When they do this I will pet them softley to calm them down.
