Then what in the world happened?

Why are gays being condemned in the Bible if he created humans?

Why are there murderers, rapists, etc etc?

If he created us then wouldn't that mean he created our thoughts, too?

What, is it just to "balance" things out?

Oh, and why did humans have to be created twice?

2007-08-13 18:01:35 · update #1

With everything that you answer, all I have to continuously ask is why? How far would you be able to go?

Maybe humans weren't born twice, what I meant was, Eve was not Adam's first wife.

And I'm not going to go read The Bible again when it's just going to make me question it more.

Oh and the Adam and Eve thing..

Adam's first wife's name was Lilith.

And yes, I agree, why would God want to question himself since they would be "his thoughts?" But, why do we question ourselves? Why do we question the question of why?

Yeah yeah about Free Will. That's a "no duh" thing. But, WHY would he create everything like this?

Why would you create your own nemesis?

Now listen, I'm NOT knocking you guys on your beliefs and whatnot. I'm questioning my own belief.

So, don't get all mad. It's hard to believe a certain religion when you've got these other religions stealing stories off of each other. You get my drift?

Put your Bible down and wake up and see the world for what it is. Then use reason and discernment to figure out how to make things better.

Peace.

Ditto on free will.

If God created your thoughts, then isn't this question really God's question? Why would God need to ask questions about Godself? Well, of course, God wouldn't...so there must be some other explanation. Keep thinking.

Oh, and humans weren't created twice. Genesis 1 and 2- are NOT two creation stories (I'm assuming that's where you got that from...?) Read Genesis in the Inspired Version of the Bible by Joseph Smith and you'll see what I mean.

Best of luck! Keep searching!

The first thing that happened was 'the word', language and meaning. After the word, with its meaning was created, 'then there were gays', and there was condemnation, and language and meaning put the two together. Yes, if we were created, our thoughts were created also, but like a snowball on a mountain side, once you let it loose there is no telling which direction it will take, or how big it will get (whether you are its creator or not). This is the same for what people think. Thinking is the 'loose cannon' that has turned our world into what we see it as being,'right now'. Out of balance would be a better way to put it!

God created us but evil was also introduced into the world and that was because God gave us free will and Eve did the one thing God told her she was not to do! Free will and evil happened it's as plain and simple as that. As far as your question about humans being created twice I'm not sure what you are trying to ask but God created Adam in an image of himself and created Eve from one of Adam's ribs that's really all there was to it God actually creates every human that is ever conceived! Hope this helps your question. Also, God reads the thoughts in your head, the good thing is the evil side cannot do that but they can put thoughts into your head and they do take advantage of that!

You know, philosophically speaking, God is not to be blamed for what is happening in this world. God gave us free will. He gives us Freedom to choose and freedom to judge so that we can prove that we are really deserving to come with Him. What is happening in this world is our responsibility. Many people ask that why is this happening to us? Isn't He created everything? He should've created something good. Well, He created good things. It is only the human, who has free will and freedom, make things complicated. Everything in this world is Imperfect. One thing affects everything. So, we cannot avoid imperfections. Everything ha it's good side and bad side. Only God is perfect. Therefore, whatever is happening in this world, we, humans should be blamed. We are imperfect too. So, sin is everywhere. And when sin becomes very noticable, and when the imperfection is too much, it may be the beginning of the END.

I feel your pain. It is an unanswerable question. But I think, while we are wondering why he didn't or doesn't do something about all this, he is waiting for us to do something about it; the ball is in our court. Each of us knows many things that he could do. I try to make my neighbors aware that grass was made for small animals, by letting my dandelion seeds blow onto their manicured lawns, which they have spent enough on spraying with poison and mower fumes to maybe do some good somewhere. Sad to say, this is the best of all possible worlds; if it were not so, God would have done. We all imagine that we could do better, but we couldn't; it wouldn't work whatever you imagine. At Hogwarts all the boys would be flies on the wall in the girls shower room.

If god is omnipotent, he knew in advance everything that would ever exist in his creation, including every one of our thoughts, and it's really quite impossible to comprehend how he's then not accountable for creating those things. And as one of your responders points out, there is a verse in the old testament where god specifically states that he created both good and evil.
Furthermore, if man was created perfect, then why was his reason not created perfect enough to choose to follow god's dictates? That man made the wrong choice simply demonstrates that the reason given him by god was not perfect- and that man was not perfect before his fall. It makes as much sense to say that god could have created man free, but with sufficient reason to make the right choice, as it does to say that man was created free to choose, but god knew in advance that man would make the wrong choice.

Read Genesis and the story of the Fall from the Garden of Eden.

In the beginning, God created everything perfect. God even walked and talked with Adam. But then they disobeyed God. They thought they knew better than God. The first sin... the sin of Pride, caused the fall of man, woman's curse of pain in childbirth, even creation itself in the world and nature became corrupted. Man's disobedience and pride is what introduced sin into the world and brought on all the problems and disordered actions in the world today.

He created humans, and He also cretaed humans able to do what they want, moral or not. if they don't wanna be gay all they have to do is abstain and not condone homosexual relationships and homosexuality in general. they're good from God's perspective then.

because we're human. we're naturally inclined to be aggressive, immoral, impulsive, impatient and above all, we have the free will to make our own decisions. not everyone makes good decisions.

He didn't create our thoughts, He created us with the ability to think what we want and be influenced by what we want. we're not programmed.

good and evil don't balance out. ever. it's not a numerical system. two wrongs don't make a right and so forth.

I wasn't there and don't buy into creation but the thought occurs to me just as the creationists wonder why we don't see new animals evolving why then have you not seen anything new created in your lifetime . surely if god is a creator he hasn't run out of ideas . No I just don't see any real evidence for beliefs founded in superstition and fabled myth.
what you address in large part is the insanity of man and much of this is founded in the same ignorance and lack of right thinking that can only be found without a highly educated basis in proper thinking habits . god didn't give you an education and this is precisely why it is important to study and learn for the sake of a better world .
