Will I belive Gordon is the better driver inside of NASCAR, hes not to overly aggressive and hes consistent and tends to donimate, I say Gordon defently has teh advantage over Stewart's talent in stock cars and don't get me wrong but they both have near equal equioment, Gordon has his bad years and so does Tony but both are great but Jeff is just a little better and more experienced

I don't think you can determine who is a better driver simply by how many positions they fell back during a spin at two seperates times during the race. the pack was spread differently at each time. It would be like saying Im richer because i found a quarter on the road and you only found a nickel.
Jeff Gordon's win record stands for itself. Hes a great driver with a superior equipment and a lot of wins. Tony Stewart also has a lot of wins beneath his belt. To determine who is the best i would have to say Gordon because of his record. Stewart is on a hot streak though and i expect Gordon might be a tad concerned that his 5th championship isnt going to be anywhere near as easy as he hoped.

If they had spun at the same time it could be compared, but it didn't happen that way so there is no comparison. Tony had a better car all day. I don't think Jeff had a good enough car to drive back to the front. Tony is the man!
Gordon has more wins because he has more starts.

Jeff Gordon is the smartest and coolest driver in Nascar. He is the reason I started watching the races about 6 years ago. Also, he epitomizes a good sport . Anyway, I like several other drivers, but he just drives so smart.

Yes, I believe Jeff Gordon is currently the best driver. His record speaks volumes. However, Tony Stewart has been hot lately.Doesn't it make you wonder what could happen next?

They are both great drivers but I would have to go with Jeff Gordon as the better one.

Good point. But,when tony spun out the field was not as spread out as it was when Jeff did.True,he still did a fine job of straightening out and getting going again. I apologize if my celebrations after Tony's win were a little hard to take, but I kept my mouth shut after DAYTONA, Bristol,THE Pepsi 400 and a few others. If it's frustrating for us to take as observers ,can you IMAGINE what it must be like for those poor bastards ? They are expected to get out of their cars and say,"oops, sorry, lets go have a soda and talk about it.

What factors do you base this theory on.
How many cars were in the running groups.?
Did either car stall?
Were the spins identical?
So on your bases there is no comparison.
