My friend just got out of the hospital about a day or so ago from a concussion. Now he's been getting really bad headaches, and even teh pain medication he takes either wares off or just doesn't seem to work at all. I'd appreciate anyone who can tell me ways hat he can get rid of his bad headaches, or at least make them a little easier for him to cope with.

All answers welcome. Thanks.

i think he should go back to the doctors' and tell them what's been going on, it could be normal and then again it might not be, it's the safest way to go

hope he feels better soon!

Forget the pain meds. He needs to go back to the hospital ASAP. Many complications can arise from any concussion or head trauma. If he can't get his attending physician on the phone, just go to the emergency dept.

He should probably switch pain medications. Also he should try yoga or anything that releases tension from the pressure points. The less tension he has in his body the less likely the tension will build up in his head.

Take him back to the hospital. This sounds like a sign that something is going very badly.
