why do I have to be offended to ask if someone else is? Generally, people think of god as a white man...so I was just curious.

Morgan Freeman is seriously godlike anyway. Always so smart. Even as a dumb guy in Shawshank he was friggin smart.

Considering that according to science, there is more DNA variety in humans in Africa and they have found that we actually descend from them. So if that's true than all white people and hispanics ( I am white) are actually the flukes. So no, I don't feel offended. I feel offended that you would ask such a question though. I mean, who cares? Let's put a clown suit on him and make his face like Marilyn Manson. Maybe then he'll look closer to God....by the way, WHAT DOES HE LOOK LIKE?

only because i think that George Burns did a much better job in the "Oh God" movies, than Morgan Freeman does in the "Almighty" movies.

but this is doe to a specific taste in comedic acting ability. not anything to do with color. i guess that if god made everything, than he made Black people too. so why would he not choose one as his earthly avitar?

No not at all, did it offend you when George Burns played him in Oh! God. I think both actors did a fun and good job with those movies.

Used to be a song by the group Up with People:
"What color is God's skin?"
answer was
"He is black, brown, and yellow.
He is red, He is white
Every man's the same in the good Lord's sight"

Personally, I thought Morgan Freeman portrayed a pretty good God. Personable, Humorous, Thoughtful. Who cares what color his skin is.

I am white and I love Morgan Freeman. Wish he would run for president. The man is very smart and concerned for people. I think he played the part well.

My first thought when I saw Morgan Freeman was playing God was "cool...good choice."

I didn't even think about the fact that he was black for a little while. It doesn't offend me at all. I think Morgan Freeman's a great actor for the part.

No, God is however anyone believes him to be. No one knows exactly what God looks like therefore he could be black, white, purple or blue! It's not the color of his skin you should be focusing on anyway, it's the message.

No...why should it? What possible difference does the color of someone's skin have to do with their connection to God/Goddess. Is a person's Spirit of a specific color? Of course it isn't! I am seeing a lot of references to skin color on the R & S tonight. What is the deal? What is going on? I am Native American. My skin is red. Does God care what color my skin is? NO! The shallowness of these questions is so sad. Is there nothing more to this R & S than a preoccupation with race and the color of one's skin? *sigh* I'm tired of this----Peace.

Whats wrong with it? I do not believe that God exists but if he did he could be anythting, white, black, male, female. It's only the racist bigot Christians who constantly portray Jesus and God was white men.
