Whenever I go to the bathroom or take a shower both of my cats run in there with great excitement. They both become very lovey, and rub all over everything. They love to play in the toilet and watch the water when it flushes, and they like to tear up the toilet paper and disperse it all throughout the house. Because of this I try to keep them out of the bathroom, but they sneak in any chance they get. Does anyone else's cat love the bathroom like this??

My kitties stick their paws through the bottom of the door when I'm in there too. I love cats, they are so silly.

my kitty loves to amuse me with a variety of antics while doing my bizniz. And if i go to #1 he also likes to go at the same time in his litter box by my toilet. (sorry if too much info!)
now your kittys have amused me too.
sorry for the mess though, I am sure those kittys' love outweighs the messiness.

His name is Stinky Nietzsche because he is
THE UBERKITTY!
and, well, sometimes he is a bit flatulent...
He only eats kitten chow, and it is not all the time, so don't worry about his health -- he is a great kitten.

Cats are very intuitive. You may be under a little extra stress or a little blue over something. Cats can sense this and will come to you to comfort you. Maybe she figures you need attention more than he does right now. She sounds like she has had a lot of love and is a good pet. Also, not to start a fight but is your man the kind that can have a temper and lost it with the cat and may have shoved , kicked or otherwise scared the heck out of her, then of course she will avoid him. Even a mans deep voice raised in anger can be scary to a kitty, or even if he accidentally stepped on her tail or something and I am not saying this is true please do not get on him (unless he deserves it lol) I would go with that she has sensed something about you that she thinks you need her love, also she is like a kid that is maturing and we do change as we grow up. Thank you for having her fixed, there are too many kittens no one wants being killed in shelters or worse. You may be more fun to knead as you are probably softer, In any case sounds like she loves you a lot.. Bless you for taking good care of her.

I know its a pain but I would have to put the toilet paper in one of those enclosed toilet paper roll holders that have a lid to it.
The whole bathroom facination.... I think they are facinated with the "water room". They enjoy being with you. I would experiment with them with the shower gently and little by little.
I had a cat that slept in the bathroom sink and when I needed to give him a bath I would fill the sink up then gently put him in the water on his back and he would NOT MOVE! LOL He would just float there. All but one of my cats stuck their paws under the door if the door was closed. I knew someone that had a cat that jumped in the shower with them and sit there and wash himself.

My cats also love the bathroom.I dont know the attraction, but they seem to love being there. I have one cat who will not drink water unless I turn the faucet on in the bathtub for her. then she climbs on the toilet seat and watches the water swirl. The other one loves to shred the toilet paper. He will lay in the bathroom and sleep most of the day. I think this is because the tiles are cooler to him than the carpet.I love my kitties and they are a joy to watch, and play with.My Brendie will sit on the rim of the tub when I take a shower, and then has to have a drink when Im done.My Snickers tries to see how high up the curtains he can climb.

Oh yes, lol. If anyone goes into the bathroom, my cat will either follow you in there, or she will sit at the door and meow or stick her paw under the door. She will even bite the bottom of the door and rip up on it. Her food is in the bathroom and she is very possessive of her food. She goes and checks her food once you leave the bathroom, lol. But she just feels like she has to be in the bathroom if you are in there. She will even jump up against the door to try and open it, lol. Oh, and she loves to lay in the sink. And she likes to sometimes jump up on the toilet and I've caught her drinking out of it a few times, lol. She also loves to watch the water go down when you flush. However, she hates the bathtub when she knows it's bath time for her, lol. But if I am taking a bath or shower, she loves to watch me. She'll even put her front paws on the side of the bathtub and watch me, lol.

Our cat will go to hubby's bathroom to drink, usually right after he has been using it. She will get up on the sink and watch him shave.
She does reach under the door at times when I have it closed. She will sit on the clothes hamper and watch me. I have pictures of her sitting on the seat and looking at the toilet paper. She stopped trying my toilet water when I put on a clear seat with figurines in the plastic.
Cats are notorious for curiousity and getting everywhere.

I have had most of my cats like my bathrooms too. Some of my cats used to like to drink out of the toilet, some would play in the water. I had one that used to go potty on the toilet too. As far as your toilet paper goes. You could try putting a rubber band around it when it's not being used. I had a cat once that used to shred my toilet paper and paper towels. It worked like a charm and had no problems at all.

Two of my three cats love the bathroom. One sleeps in the tub or takes a toy in there to play with and both her and her sister play in the toilet water. I call this fishing. When I close the toilet lid, they just open it so i just let them. THere are pet safe toilet cleaning products and I would advise you to investigate some if your cats insist on playing.

My baby Nadia does this.....she mows and waits for me to get out of the shower....I've caught her playing and even drinking(gross) out of the toilet. My husband has banned me from putting toilet paper on the holder 'cause she will unroll an enitre new roll of toilet paper and string it like lights at Christmas all through the house. She climbs in tub and plays; I find her toys in there all the time! She even climbed on the window sill and tried to jump in on me while I was in the shower....thank God the shower curtain was there or she would have scratched me bad! It was funny afterward, but she only did that one time.....lol! She's nutty!
