Christians, do you feel like you're contradicting yourselves when you say this?(Read inside for details)?

Christians like to say that the bible must be true because it is so historically accurate and its prophecy is so sound! Let me see, you must be talking about these:

1. The earth is flat with four corners and rests on a foundation
2. The earth is stationary.
3. The moon gives off its own light.
4. Insects have four legs
5. Plants can survive without a sun ( in the bible plants were created before the sun )
6. The earth is a few thousand years old.
etc, etc, etc.....

I guess these are the amazing facts you are so mesmerized by!?

Even your statement about plants is incorrect when you interpret the Bible correctly

1. This describes not the earth but new Jerusalem.

2. I have yet to read this. If i remember correctly, one of the prophets actually had God hold the earth still for one hour, doesn't that imply it is moving?

3. The moon gives us light yes, but please elaborate on the exact verse that claims it has its own source.

4. I did not know the bible used the word "insects". I do not even believe that this was a word in the ancient Hebrew or Greek that the bible was written in.

5. In the beginning God said let there be light, and there was light and the earth was VOID AND WITHOUT FORM. no try again please.

6. In recent studies of the the moon earth relationship, scientist (your priests of your religion) are finding that the moon is moving away from the earth at like 1-2 inches per year. Is it possible, this man made phenomenon known as time can accelerate given the premise that as the moon moves away, the rotation of the earth is slowing as well as the length of a day decreasing? Days on earth used to be so much shorter, like 6-7 hours if I read the article right.

I guess these points have been possible debunked?

You fail to include any verses. Therefore, I can only debate the ones I'm familar with.

5. If organic proteins can form from simple compounds in the darkest caves deep within the planet quarantined from direct sunlight, isn't possible other vegetable life could occur in extreme conditions? Your ideas might to too restrictive. Research a little more.
6. Jesus is the light of the world. John 8:12. Let there be Light. Gen 1:3. Jesus is the Creator and must be older than the Universe. Approx. age of Universe is 15 billion years. Earth's evolution must be older than few 1000 years, since background radition through the cosmos suggests less than infinite life span.

There is no contradiction in the BIBLE. You may be unable to read and understand it. The four corners are North, South, East, and West. It was never said to be "FLAT" or "stationary". The plants were created they did not "GROW" as you seem to think. Through GOD all things are possible (Scripture). There is nothing said about the "moon gives off its own light". You are attempting to read things that do not exist. Remember that creation only took six days?? The earth is only about six thousand years old! Get a Bible a\nd begin reading. Jesus taught in Parables many times that the disciples didn't even understand. How many millions of pages have been recorded trying to give interpretations of the Bible? A Christian would be a fool to literally interpret everything in the Bible. And calling someone a fool is the same as a curse word in the Bible. No we Christians are so mesmerized by Faith in the covenant.

2. again, no such claim. the Bible says the sun stood still, but of course, Josh didn't have a satellite and global knowledge is of little use to a general.

3. it says light. not giving of it's own light. on a dark road at night you see the flash of a mirror reflecting moonlight. in ignorance, you'd think it was a light on it's own, no?

4. it says insects that walk on all fours. humans crawl on all fours. anything that crawls is as if it were on all fours.

5. diatoms and deep-sea plants can thrive without sunlight. check it out.

6. anywhere between 6011 to 600,011 is Biblically possible.

it's almost comical how you refuse to use common sense and actually explore what you argue.

Spider-man is set in the near future. It's admittedly Sci-fi but technically possible considering how little we know of the human genetic system.

Any apologist can purely supply as stable of an answer they are able to create, consequently they're limited through fact they don't have the direct connection to God for an answer. confident it is a contradiction yet then there are various. usual like maximum religions, they're no longer able to work out the full photograph. the different component i've got observed is that maximum have the only purpose of helping individuals which already have the religion, consequently they do no longer anticipate stick to up questions or a real communicate. faith teaches human beings to no longer ask questions yet to believe via unquestioning faith.

O.K., that's really strange...I'd like Chapter and verse on all those assertions. You can't post something like that without backing it up with the Scripture.

2) Ps. 19:6 From one extremity of the heavens is its going forth, And its [finished] circuit is to their [other] extremities;
And there is nothing concealed from its heat.

Psalm 104:19) He has made the moon for appointed times; The sun itself knows well where it sets.

That's just for starters. How about you show us where you found you're little bits of 'information.'

I understand you reasonable thinking. But how does the earth sit up in space, connected to nothing, still turn on its own? How does is keep itself from just colliding right into the sun or outer space? How does gravity work so perfect all by itself? If the Earth was just a millimeter off in its axis the earth would be completely destroyed. So how does something so perfectly made, with such an intelligent design become something of a mere coincidence?

If u actually read the Bible u would know that u just made no sense at all.
I suggest reading The Message version or the New King James version. Normally I would say start with the book of John in the New Testament which is located about half way to the back of the book. However, u may want to start with Genesis .

And plants were only in existence for one day before God created the sun. So I don't see what the problem is with regard to that issue.
