I live in the upper west side of manhattan, and my friends and I are thinking having a party at the beach. I was thinking about Jones Beach, but they close at sunset. Where's a good place (if any) to have a party at the beach where you can drink and have fun even after it gets dark?

On Long Island and NYC, you can't party after dark on the beach. Only those with night fishing permits are allowed to park at the beach parking lots. I'm sure NJ is the same story, although not a 100% sure. Maybe Sandy Hook, NJ. Also try Cape Cod, I've heard about beach parties there.
