I was wondering if there are any advantages to using a paintall coil. I mean that as in the coil that you attatch to your co2 tank and your paintball marker. And with it you can keep your co2 tank in your paintball harness.

Depends on how big the CO2 tank is.....I used to run between 16 and 24 oz tanks, and I hafta tell ya, they do get heavy after a while.....so, weight is a factor....in addition, if you get a remote coil with a with a slide check, you can disconnect the gun from the remote without having to turn off the main valve all the time....the disadvantage to that is that you have to keep the o-rings inside the slide lubricated...otherwise the excess CO2 freezes them and they get chewed up.....can't tell you how many times I had to take the darn thing apart for that very reason....it might sound like a pain in the rear, but it's nice not to have to take all the gear off just to turn off the valve on the tank......have fun!

One of the purposes of the remote coil aside from relocating it to your pack is the gravity keeps liquid co2 from reaching the marker. I used them during colder months on my automag back in the mid 90's to keep it from messing up. Lots of people use them on milsim style guns and other recball markers. You can pick up a good one for under 30 dollars. Take care

Yes there are several adavntages to using a remote feed line. First it removes the added weight from the back or bottom of the gun. Second if you play woods ball you can sometimes hit your tank on trees and such the remotle line removes that if you run the line under your sleeves.

well, heres the thing. if you want to keep a low profile and be quick and fast, I advise not to wear a harness and remote. i think it just weighs me down. also i like put my tank near my armpit for stability when im wlaking shots in. if you dont mind a harness then a remote may just be for you.
