And please don't make yourself sound stupid and God is the ONLY alternative evolutions. I could make up at least a dozen technically possible theories as to how life began on earth without using God or evolution, just off the top of my head.

Creationists fail to realize that other religions have developed their own creation stories. Christianity isn't that special.

It doesn't.
Indeed (as an evolutionist), I am absolutely sure that the theory of Evolution will continue to evolve as we deal with more and more of the nasty details of mutations. That is, our current theory will (from the point of view of future generations) be considered "wrong".
However, its the best we have and its pretty useful for describing what is happening.
The correctness of Evolution neither proves nor disproves the existance of God. It would, I guess, put a monkey wrench in those religions that stake their entire belief system evolution not being part of the picture.
(More and more medical technology is based around discoveries and science that has come about as an extension of gene and evolution theories)
Realistically, within a few decades, there will be no major religion that continues to state that evolution isn't happening ... they'll just say that God is directing it.
And how can you prove he/she/it isn't?

Creationism says that God created the universe in 6 days. Some evolutionsim says that it took billions of years.
If you are a Christian, how could billions of years pass with no deaths? Adam and Eve were created on the 6th day. They brought sin, death and destruction into the world through their disobedience to God. Therefore there were no death's before the fall of man.
God tells us that each species reproduces after its own kind.
God set everything up for each thing to to continue to evolve and create after its own kind. This universe was origionally set up mature. Adam was a grown man, mountains and rocks were formed. Trees were mature and produced fruit. Planets and stars are continuing to appear just as God's plan was at first set up.
Even people are born with the eggs and the seed of future generations within their bodies. Animals, fish and plants are the same.

I always liked the "Galactic Reality Show" theory from South Park, personally.
Panspermia is actually a popular theory, in that it accounts for the holes in both evolution and creation. The only problem with it is it still doesn't answer the question of where the aliens came from.
If you are specifically referring to evolution on earth, then yes, I can agree with you. But when I think about the universe as a whole, there is no other explanation that makes sense other than God--the one I believe in. It is, I acknowledge, my presuppositions that led me to this, but I think that those presuppositions are credible enough to stand on their own:
1) It could not be a pantheistic or polytheistic God(s). A pantheistic god is 'one with the universe' and could not be immortal if the universe were not also immortal. A polytheistic god-head would still require one god to be superior to all the other gods; and angels and devils, though supernatural beings, do not equate to gods.
2) It would require worship. I don't see a God creating a people for the exclusive purpose of ignoring him. That God would intervene in the world enough to make sure that his followers were never completely eradicated. God would never allow all of his followers to be destroyed.
Based on these two criteria, the only religions that would make sense would be Judaism, Christianity, and Islam--all of whom ironically follow the same God.

Seriously, think about it like this. Can you imagine walking up to your local mall and thinking that it just appeared there. Of course not. The Air Conditioning, the parking lot, the stores, the locks on the doors....it's pretty obvious that the mall had a designer. Well, we are much more amazingly designed than a mall. We can get dust out of our eyes when they water up. We can digest food and turn it into energy. We can have sex and make babies. There's no way that's an accident. We were designed. Call it intelligent design or call it God, we are too complex and purposeful to have just 'happened.'

Because they create a false dilemma between the two to more easily persuade their followers. Atheism (ie Evolution) or Christianity (ie Creationism)? Kind of like an us versus them mentality like politics is today. That way noone questions their own beliefs and views the other side as evil or stupid. See how well it has worked these past 7 years?
As for the "specific god" thing, I will simply provide a quote. "Everyone views the limits of their own vision as the limits of the worlds".

Evolution is an undisputed fact among scientists.
The creationists know this, but create the excuse of micro evolution vs macro evolution which is absolutely absurd.
Macro = Micro X Time

It begs the question. (as in, the logical fallacy of circular logic.)
Creationism is true. God is responsible for creating things. Therefore God exists.
Except the "Creation" myth exists in every religion, and it's a different god doing the creating.
So really, it proves nothing. Nor, really, does it reinforce anything, either.

Creation contains an aspect of evolution!
Evolution contains an aspect of creation!
They are inseparable, so why the dilemma?
Next thing you know humans will have a squabble over which came first the chicken or the egg!
Whats more important is this, "What is man going to do with this life that he has been Graced with?"

hey, crusade for christ - since when does evolution reinforce the existence of god? from your name i can only infer that you are a christian and from what you said, it seems that you are indeed a creationist. i assume that you believe in adam and eve, the book of genesis, etc so with that information, how can you say that evolution reinforces your beliefs? the bible says that adam and eve were humans(not monkeys) created by god, where does your evolution reinforcing this fit in again?

But it's not.
It's a postulate.
What if the STRING theoriests are correct and it's RANDOM string congregations for NO reason like SURIVAL OF THE FITTEST.
What if the SCIENTIFIC RANDOMISTS are correct.
Evolution is not RANDOM
It is SURVIVAL of the FITTEST
Or SURVIVAL of the most productive
What if SCIENTIFIC RANDOMISTS PREVAIL
And there is NO Rhyme or Reason. Only the throw of the dice.
There is NO Natrual SELECTION
There is NO survival of the fittest
It is simply a DICE GAME
SCIENCE, in it's ULTIMATE ASPECT, says it is a DICE GAME
That means GOD and DARWIN don't exist.
There is only the RANDOM cosmic CASINO
There is ONLY the CHAOS theory.
Now, how does that one grab you and SCIENCE as a whole, subscribes to it!
SCIENCE says it's NOT Natural Selection but a RANDOM THROW OF THE DICE
Live with it.
