I got a seven year old nephew who believes in Santa.

He is very obsessed with Santa and waits for him every year.

He frequently asks me why Santa can't come more often, so i decided to tell him the truth that santa is a made up fairytale for kids.

I felt he was old enough to stop day dreaming about Santa.

However, he refused to believe me and said he could feel Santa was real.

So i asked him how Santa could appear at everyone's home simultaneously. He told me that Santa is omnipotent and he respects Santa as God.

I told him that he should believe in Jesus, not Santa as God.

He told me that he oftenly prays to Santa and Santa frequently answers his prayers.

So I asked him how he was so sure it was not a coincidence.
So he told me that he got a relationship with Santa and he got faith in Santa that nothing can disprove.

He told me it was not about the prayers, but it was about the relationship that he could feel, and it feels very real for him.

Motto:

Christians have so much faith in Jesus and believe they got a relationship with Jesus.
The reason they feel that God is real is
because they are so deeply delusioned by
their belief that God is real. My nephew
won't deny Santa no matter what, which is
exactly the same case with Christians.
Don't you realize that your faith and
feelings of having God beside you is only
a result from the strong belief rooted
in your conscience?

Very simplified view.
I for one do not believe we should celebrate Christmas and tell children about Santa as it starts them of believing in a lie , and being christian we should not lie.
However what you are saying is completely wrong' faith should come from more than an imaginary belief in god and Jesus and any christian who really believes would need to study the bible for reasons to justify there belief.
There are many things in the bible to back up this faith.
2 examples ...1 the bible in the OT taught the world was round but men beliveded it was flat until a few hundred years ago
2 the bible for-told the rebuilding of Israel
There are many more reasons as well

I can not deny , what I know to be true. I know that I know Jesus lives & He is a very real prescense in my life. We have a relationship.I am not delusional, I have proof, am the receiptant of miracles in my own life. I walk with no understanding or physical reason why I do, Dr.'s can't understand it. But, I know, I was healed by Jesus.
Why would many through out history die rather then deny Christ? Why is the Bible STILL the all time No. 1 book sold through out the ages & world, Even today. Why because it is TRUTH and life for all that seek the treasures within, TRUTH's that are still revelant today.Deny Christ if you choose, but Watch He is coming again. Then what will your response be. Choose life while it still is called today. He loves you, even if you will not love Him.And there will be a day of judgement. Let your nephew lead you into the saving power of Jesus, He is far wiser then you.

I disagree with you. Why are you trying to convince us that we're wrong. Can't you see how satan has you blinded and your just a pon to him. Being a Christian has nothing to do with the way we feel. Sometimes I feel very close to God and their are other times I cry out because I can't feel Him at all. It's about having faith that He is who He says He is.

It's so funny that you santa as an example.

unbelievers PONDER this
santa-satan...just switch some words around and santa turns into satan.

I know children very well. Without trying to be rude, I think this story is completely made up. Maybe that's just impled but I figure that's significant. No child would act like this in my experience.

That said, if the story is true, it isn't significant. Many Christians are basing their faith on something they don't know exists for sure. We are supposed to have faith IN God not OF God...many people don't really comprehend what that means. (I don't mean to sound haughty...sorry if it comes accross that way! :o)

Your position is bleak. Without love, would we innately understand to rear children or allow the infants to fend their own devices? Love is at the backbone of God's embodiment. A life without love is not worth anything. The mere denial of the human spirit does not mean you don't have one, any more than denying God removes His eternal love. You might think that prayer is nothing more than talking to yourself in private. But I think that ignoring universal posits are more foolish than believing in Santa.

Where are your nephews parents? Why does our relationship with Jesus bother you?

You might consider reading Isaiah 53. This was written over 600 years before Jesus was born.

Christians open not only their eyes but their hearts, their voices in prayer. Through communication with him we have a relationship that is real and pure. We are his children and as his children we love and respect him. He is always present and when we need him he is there. We feel the comfort and guidance from him and indeed he is very real. Look around and see for yourself. I hope someday for you to see what wonders he can do for you.

Your nephew may end up being burned at the stake. Then he'll be a martyr for Santa. Then he'll spend eternity at the North Pole making toys for all the good boys and girls.

cool.

You have left out the most important aspect of your logic and that is the Holy Spirit that locks us into that relationship with God !!! It goes beyond our thought process !!! Its heart body and soul process !!! Sounds like you have been playing church as an observer and not as a believer !!!

I totally have to disagree with that.

You do not understand that people have seen the miraculous as crazy as it seems but you can not tell my youth group they didn't see a healing. So its just your choice to believe me or not.

Edit:
I have peace in My God, Where does the sense of peace come from?
