I have read several answers by "Mavis" tonight that seem racist and I don't think that is appropriate on here. I have NEVER reported anyone ...I don't want to...but I'm wondering if I should? Would you? She is probably just trying to get attention and with this question, I may be giving her that....but I want your opinions ----should I report her? (note: I don't hit the report button but this is getting ridiculous. Read some of her answers and you will see what I mean.)

Quella Bella--thank you for answering....but honestly, this is a forum for thoughts on Religion and Spirituality. And I don't know how you feel, but I think that if there is a God/Goddess, He/She is definatly color-blind! The color of a person's skin doesn't matter one bit in matters of Spirit. And this person is repeatedly making reference to skin color in her answers. The comments she is making are derogatory and blantly racists. Please help! Should I hit the report button for the first time? I am strongly opposed to censorship, but where do we draw the line??

Tootsie--I don't know "Ralph" or his posts. But I assure you that if he refers to skin color so openly and in as a derogatory way as this person has, I would be just as concerned!!

Jeremy J---I mention her screen name only because I am not computer savvy enough to know how to place a link to her answers onto my question. And what difference does it make anyway? She is openly referring to skin color in several of her answer---why be coy about it?

There is little I can say here that has not already been said. Racism is never ok, including on this forum. It is one thing to have religious or philosophical differences, but posting hate about people or their beliefs is just plain wrong.
I seriously want to applaud everyone on this forum of all religions who have posted to this to say that racism is wrong, and that they will not support it or stand for it. We may not all agree on beliefs, but we can still agree that bigotry is not a good thing in any religion. Here is to you!

I refuse to report people or block them. I'd rather have racism out in the open for racists to be ridiculed. It's better for them to look like fools than to sweep them under the rug.
I'm a staunch believer in the First Amendment. No censorship, period. In the words of Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of South Park, "Either it's all OK or none of it is."

She is probably mad about something in her own life, and using the Y!A to decompress a little bit. I am sorry for her, because she is trying to be cruel to those that she believes have been cruel to her. Racism is not OK anywhere, and racism comes from everyone white or black, and she is trying to be the reverse of the racism.
Honestly, let her go! If you report her, she will feel victim of the circumstances.
Peace!

I don't believe in censorship and reporting her won't do any good anyway because she can just make a new account. How hard is it for you to just give her a thumbs down and then ignore her? It's not that big of a deal
There will always be trolls on this site so you better learn how to ignore them now because they're not going anywhere

I have read her answers and her questions and I think she is probably just someone trying to get attention. If not she has serious racism issues. Anyway if it bothers you I would report her, but she will just create another acount. Good Luck... and if she doesnt shut up I'll report her as well.

Racism shouldn't be tolerated ANYWHERE. Here we have enough problems without throwing the race card into the mix. I don't think anybody needs to find other 'hot button' issues to stir up more conflict here (R&S) than there already is.

I haven't read the answers of which you speak, but racism deserves an immediate report of abuse. It is not cool among any of us who are civil, and I think this may be one thing that we can more or less all agree on, Pagans as well as Christians, and everyone else???? I hope so.

Racism is not cool anywhere, including reverse racism. It hurts people and innocent people from any ethnicity are victims. I'm considered bad by some people because white people used slave labor. I had nothing to do with it nor did my ancestors from the countries they emigrated from. People grow up and be advanced enough to treat people individually for their own actions. Racism sucks pure and simple.

I only hit a report button when someone is TOTALLY out of line.
Usually denial or services or spamming the same questions 20 times.
Otherwise I just let them rant.

Racism will always be present, just ask the Jews, Joking! As to what you can do to stop it...well there are many better ways than reporting someone.
But then again, it's all how you feel.
