Would you agree with me?

I meant that what matters is the phylosophical learning we get from each religion. Of course, there are some of us that misuse the concepts by judging, punishing and even hating. Of course, there are several ways of interpreting and practicing each doctrine, because we are in different spiritual levels ourselves. However, WHAT MATTERS is WHAT WE GET FROM IT (good or bad, that's what matters and that's what we will be called upon).

Basically religions are meant to provide you enlightenment and teachings for leading a purposeful life. What you say is perfectly correct.

Nope, I sure wouldnt agree with you at all!

There are many false religions in the world...and yer tellin me it doesnt matter if you sit and learn from THEM?

Do you know how they train bankers to know a counterfeit? They ONLY handle the REAL MONEY. Then when a fake comes along, they KNOW the difference immediately.

DONT accept anything but the REAL THING.

Any religion that doesn't tell you what the Bible says about Gods plan to redeem mankind thru the Cross and Jesus sacrifice on it FOR YOU...is a false religion.

God never called you to learn WRONG things...but to come to HIM based on what He has said is HIS criteria.

Dont be deceived by what LOOKS good and FEELS good. What has God said in His WORD?

What matters most is the lessons one is learning through life experiences no matter what religious group the person belongs to. We can learn a lot also from other people's experiences if we keep an open mind and do not take anything for granted!.
Unconditionnal love and a desire to understand those who are different than we are is important too. What matters is being positive and generous in our thoughts, words, and actions.

Not exactly. It depends on the religion. But I would agree with C.S. Lewis that there is general truth to be obtained from most world religions. Lewis just believed that there was only one absolute truth, and that was salvation through Christ Jesus.

Depends on which religion turns out to be right. The consequences vary drastically.

But no matter what faith you follow, you will still find it most valuable to learn about as many other faiths as you can.

Depends on what you learn...

If you learn to kill the unbelievers, hate homosexuals, condemn rape victims at the abortion clinic, preach your views to the point that you shun everyone you meet, practice bigotry, ethnic superiority or just generally treat your fellow humans like garbage because you THINK you KNOW better than them..Then no I think that religion does not benefit people with half of what it teaches.

Not since the learning appears to be intolerance towards people who don't believe exactly the same as whichever specific religion is the reference.

I almost said "current learning"; but religious intolerance goes back as far as history does.

It depends upon the growth of your soul. If your religion hinders the soul's growth, then it does matter.

Yes, I'll agree to that! You at least have the forethought that there are other religions available that are worthy!
