My child is now at Learning Ladder but her location is closing. However, Chesterbrook Academy is opening in 3 locations in the area. Also, I'm thinking of enrolling my child in public school for kindergarden. What are your thoughts on this?

Check with your local elementary school, social service agencies, and churches and make a list of the programs they tell you about. I'm in PA too, and we have Pre-K Counts in my area. It's a free preschool program for 4 year olds and it's brand new. Should be excellent, so be sure you ask the school about that. Then visit those programs. Find out what license they have and what credentials their teachers have. Ask what schedule the children follow to be sure it allows for both structured and unstructured activity time. Observe a class in progress. When you have chosen a program, plan to volunteer a little time in the classroom so you can see firsthand what your child is experiencing. Good luck!
